This game is not supposed to be visually stunning. It's developed in the old style. It's more about strategy that pretty pictures. Even then - I don't think it looks that bad.... I'm not sure about the DRM yet - I think it's limitied - it only checks if you have a CD in your drive. The forums don't report anything catastrophic.
