Mc Shea and Madden team up for a Super Bowl win in this video review for Madden NFL 11.
How do I get into this game?! I have never played sports video games in my life. I have never been into them. I appreciate good games and I want to give them a chance, but I just suck at this game! Do I have to know everything about football to play it or what? I don't know the benefit of picking one play over another. It just seems completely arbitrary. What do I do??
It sounds to me like the game isn't that great, but then to sum up the review "It's a great football game". Wait a second, weren't you just tearing this game apart for its frustrating gameplay and boring, tedious presentation? I can't help but feel like if it wasn't for the EA Sports logo on the game, it wouldn't be getting a free pass. Eventually churning out the same game year after year is going to get old and stop earning the franchise good reviews.
WTF? This is supposed to be a ps3 review and yet it SHOWS in the gameplay the Xbox Controller X Y and B...screw that!
the really funny thing is the gameflow makes the game worse. If you use it they call the same play over and over. Not only that but he forgot to say how franshice mode and superstar mode is exactly the same as madden 10. This guy puts down stuff that he has no idea what he talking about and got hired by EA to review this play madden 06 07 franshice superstar for ps2 and see how good this game really is because compared to those its horrible. The only thing better in this is the graphics
This guy is such a whiney snot. He whines about such little things. It's still a football VIDEOGAME dude. Sorry it's not your personal NFL franchise designed by NASA. The game is fine.
"some scrub from a college called Liberty"...they actually have a pretty solid team, winning records past 5 years straight, 7 of the past 10 years. Great secondary from what I've seen after watching the games.
I like how NBA 2k11 gets the same rating as this game when it is much better. 2k11 didn't even get a video review. . . . And by the way madden, gameflow is completely worthless, nobody plays online team play, and franchise mode is lamer than Madden 2005's franchise mode. How did it devolve? Because Madden sucks, but everyone already knew this. This years madden is for people who buy it so they can play it with there work friends once a week; it is not for the hardcore gamer.

Minus the new features mentioned this is EXACTLY like LAST years review... Same Madden time same madden channel... They can't EVER add progressive details such as field divots and dirty uniforms... (Note i have not played this game yet,i soon plan on getting it though)The Game play is no doubt better (from what Ive seen)... but the graffix and I am asking. They look like they are going better and worse. Like what happened to the Dirty Jerseys around 4th quarter do they still have that or what.?

EA finally decided to step up! This is the only Madden that comes close to giving me the same enjoyment I felt with NFL 2K5 before EA snatched the NFL license. I'm not saying it's as good as 2K5, but it's pretty close.
It's the same crap different year, other than the game flow, and some boosted graphics, the franchise and superstar are still exactly the same and boring as they were last year. What it comes down to is, not everyone wants to play online, and I'm sure theres a great many that don't wish to play online at all, so it seems that once again the only love giving was for online play. Either way they still haven't found what there looking for, better luck next year.
great game but defense is kind of stupid and the audibles they need to change them back to face buttons. The D pad is pretty stupid bring back the the face buttons.
Hopefully with the gameplay fairly down pat (obviously still issues but better) they'll do some hard work on franchise and superstar
I love the "Army" commercial at the beginning. Its quite a paradox that the Army is advertising to recruit from the large pool of "eligible" video game players. VG players who don't even have what it takes to get off the sofa, how the heck are they going to fight in a war? Back to the Madden Game: EA bought the exclusive rights of the NFL for X amount of years and a boatload of money. They monopolized the NFL game market and therefore can pump out crap without competition from anyone, including 2K. Got to LOVE the power of MONEY!
Another review paid by EA. An 8.0? Are you serious? The game hasn't changed since old gen, the physics suck and are outdated. AI is terrible. Only thing that's changed has been the graphics and added crappy gimmicks.. 6.0 at BEST.
I agree on the madden moments they should put the actual rosters from last years on that. what a bad review though. who cares about ultimate team or gameflow or their new little features every year the core game is always good we know were just paying for the new rosters every year and some good upgrades to player movement graphics etc.. so why waa about this and waa about that just play the damn thing, the ones left whining are the ones losing all the time.
you know who needs some enthusiasm this reviewer, i fall asleep and this game is a huge improvement what about the controls that were redone to make the plays flow smoothly. Leave it to a guy who looks like he's never played football to review madden
If anyone is looking for an Online Franchise, the American Armchair League of America is recruiting for more players who play a SIM style. This game is better than Mc Shea's reviewing it. I think hes just mad he was never able to play football in highschool. For a NFL game this is fun and its all you'll get. It is fun to play with No-name players. Thats why in other games you have to build your characters, etc. In football your skill gets better when you achieve those better players. I do not agree with this review for many reasons.
People that dis madden sound retarded. It's a decent game of football. No it's not perfect but it's all there is. If you dont like it, don't buy it! Simple. I love football. I want to play a NFL football game. This is all there is and regardless of what EA does with this game some will still find something to whine about.
