@Those complaining about UMVC3: We get it. It's a spam-happy mess. Reason why? There's SO MANY GOD FORSAKEN CHARACTERS. It's insane. MVC's style shouldn't have so many damn people in it. It just screams "break my balancing". Older crossover titles weren't as unbearable as UMVC3 or as imbalanced as MVC2 because there weren't like 50+ people in it. There's TOO MUCH. Tone the amount of people down by at least a good 20, then tone the combat system as a whole down to like...MVC1 days, and maybe we can get back to enjoying MVC. Just gotta wait a good 5-10 years before they make an MVC4.
@Those hating on this remake: It's like Virtua Fighter 5's remake, but instead of making 2 new characters, they put two full games in it. It's a good deal for people who care about the games. If you're a "Capcom fan" and you're bashing on them for releasing these two titles digitally for just $15, then you're definitely a "Capcom fan", rather than an actual Capcom fan.
@Subject at hand: Looks like a kind-hearted gesture, but I gotta pass. UMVC3 kinda killed my enthusiasm for MVC, and Ryu's kinda lame in MVC and MVC2. So yea, I'll pass. Nice call, though. Old fans should enjoy it to some degree.
They need to expand the characters in Umvc3!! Charactor request sheets are so long right now.. I hope they announce new charactors @ comic con 2012.. I don't want and origins... Idgaf about that.. Time to move foward capcom... Step it up!!
MvC again, capcom need to be more creative than this, all they do with MvC games is take out some characters and put in others, no combat improvement or new ideas what so ever, i hv always been a MvC fan right from its PSone days, but it gets boring along the way, come on CAPCOM do something!! dont kill the MvC!!
@Namahsdrol MvC2 is already available on XBLA/PSN. This release is about bringing Marvel fighters by Capcom to platforms that they haven't already been on yet, not repackaging MvC2 for the second time.

Capcom doesn't even need to make new games.... Do yourself a favor and don't buy it you are just encouraging Capcom.
This game will have 2 characters to start with then you pay $10.00 for every extra characters you want. You'll only spend $666.66 to own all characters. The good news is, that price already includes tax and you'll only spend another $366.00 to own all the alternative costumes. Also, for the extra measly amount of $129.00, you can get the collectors edition which includes a megaman hitting puberty comic book, a ryu lollipop and a spiderman balloon. What a deal!
DLC wasn't enough? Now rehashing old collections (with 100 screen filters!) for easy cash?
Then again when the quality of new games is on the level with UMVC3, Bionic Commando or Operation Raccoon City, I don't know which is worse. Buy new bad games or old good games? Probably neither.
They should have just done MVC4. Double the amount of characters and stages, add modes and a proper story mode, better connectivity and lots of unlocks. But that would require too much effort and high budget.
froget about that include those missing characters and do UMVC 3 ae cmmon capcom yu want it marvel include yoour damn characters lizard and others you know you want it include more chaaaaaaaaaaaaracters!!!!
dont forget the number one character in capcom universe megaman and megaman x the fans vote for them to be in the game .
It's all about RE-selling games that has been sold before. They sell cheap for an old game with few minor adjustment. It's all about making money with minor efforts. I love making money!
I never got to play Marvel Super Heroes, so I would get this for that game. However, adding Marvel VS. Capcom to the package makes it even sweeter. I just hope the sprites don't look too terrible on my HDTV.
1 Like I just played a little UMVC3 last night and I don't like it. This game Origins has all the fighters people actually waned to play as and the majority of fan favorites were overlooked in UMVC3, for troll characters added to this game like Ameratsu and Viewiful Joe. I wish they would have made a reboot for this with updated MVC3 graphics with the same fighters and same gameplay. Gameplay that is not spam-based and air combo focused. I really hate the launch button mechanic of UMVC3 and the fights boil down to who can pull an air combo off first wins.
not interested.. The sooner this console generation is over the better I need new ips and something to get me excited about gaming again...
@BlackBaldwin ? There are new IPs and great games everywhere dude. Jesus, there are still probably over 50 games I want to get around to playing this gen still.

@Flames021 What's wrong with re-releasing two classics together and adding extra features like HD, online, and challenges for only $15? People like you can just be so damn picky. I think this is a great package.
Then buy it, but just know you will be buying it again in 10 years on the next gen port of old games lol. Honestly old games are nice but thats just what they are Old Games. So this should be free if anything, in support of mvc3 since that one is starting to bomb now..
@BludshedX I agree, lots of people got a beef with Capcom at the moment and love bitchin it up on comments streams. Capcom ain't gonna see this guys so don't make us have to read your moaning.

@Superzone UMVC3 wasn't as successful as it could be and Capcom isn't seen in a very positive light right now.
This is basically a attempt to gain a little positive publicity and make some money at the same time.

Seriously, these games are like "glory days" games to Capcom fans. Throwing 2 games out for 15 bucks while keeping them close to their original feel is a GOOD thing. Something Capcom didn't have to do.

1 Like The best part is, it's not actually a collection of games. It's just the one game, and you have to buy each game through DLC. and then you only start each new game with Ryu. Better start saving your money if you want all of those bonus characters. But I still can't wait for the game. I love all of the unlockables in the MvC series. It took me forever to unlock everything in the last one. I couldn't wait for my paycheck at the end of each week. But for all of you REAL Capcom fans, you'll be waiting for Super MvC Origins, MvC Origins Alpha, Ultimate MvC Origins, Super Ultimate MvC Origins Alpha, and finally Super Ultimate MvC Alpha Turbo. Me, I'm saving up for Super Ultimate MvC Alpha Turbo Game of the Year edition.

They should have make a remake about the game that start it all X men children of atom, with xmen vs street and marvel superheroes vs streetfighter. A trilogy not a weak combo
I have MvC, MvC2, SFIII since their glorious release back then in the ps1,ps2 and this lam digital version adds nothing worthwhile.
I rather accept a Omega Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Marvel vs Capcom 4 or a Avengers/Defendrs vs Darkstalker wtv

might have been good if I hadn't already got it for PS1 and dreamcast , this won't be good enough , how bout making them asist characters playable
