1st thing is Bioware have show they "WILLINGNESS" to listen (after the BBB & Petition), so we should give them a chance....But most unfortunately til now, all the info that i received is relate to multiplayer DLC which seem like they try to penetrate the MMO market therefore make the attractiveness of single player game is slowly faded away which Bioware still blind to see this...

2nd thing is If Any single player DLC launch please enjoy for fun sake as you & i have already play the entire trilogies, so don't keep dwell in the past. Further any single player DLC in ME 2 able to change the ending of ME 2 for those who still complain the ending of ME 3?

My point is simple, last time we enjoy ME 2 therefore we enjoy the DLC why not ME 3?

What's the point of this DLC?

We all know it will make no difference on the ending.

And it sounds like it will be just as nonsensical as the rest f Mass Effect 3.

It's a good thing that in al the millions of years that this Reaping has been going on that not a single other species thought to take a sub under this ocean and that it hasn't deteriorated in the millions of years it sat at the bottom of the ocean.

I guess it makes about as much sense as finding plans for an inexistant weapon in a database that has been constantly scouredfor 20 years on Mars the moment after the Reapers myseriously invade Earth within seconds of being first sited despite being way more than 6 hours away via combined FTL+gate travel. Or about as much sense as anything involving Kai Leng and his plot armor and ability to make your character miss every single shot at a large body moving in straight line at a slow speed even though you can hit a thrown wine glass with a single bullet from a sniper rifle. Or space ninjas sticking a normal sword through armor meant to provide protection against ballistics traveling at several times the speed of sound.

@CommodoreRaslin First of all Kai Leng has body implants that make it so that he's very fast and agile, second those swords are enhanced, third DLC's are made to give you some entertainment, for example Saints Row, DLCs are constantly made to avoid the displeasure of players thus resulting to them playing it and not stop playing it. Plus, come on who wouldn't want to fight the Leviathan?

Minor spoilers below: So, uh, what's the point of any DLC to this game at all?

What's the point of mystery, darkness, spooky isolation feel - and a crazy cool new thing that can kill Reapers... when no matter what, none of the choices and prep-work you go through has no effect on the ending? You saved the Rachni? Red/Blue. You get mercenaries to help? Red/Blue. You find Leviathan? Red/Blue.

Oh wait - I bet that when you actually do find Leviathan, you'll get a bonus to your "Readiness Score." Maybe then you'll unlock the incredibly different and closure-providing(sarcasm) GREEN ending!!!!

If you guys want to really let bioware know how disappointed you are at ME3: DO NOT BUY THIS DLC. BOYCOTT IT.

Such protest was effective back in the industrial age, and it is still effective today.

@_distemper You ask what's the point? Enjoying the action and the story. I enjoyed Miranda's story, Thane's story, Grunt's story, Mordin's story, Wrex's story. . . none of these directly impacted the ending. But they impacted the characters. And that meant something to me.

@megagood2345 The worst part is, is that the game was good up until the very end, and it just kills the whole experience of the game, and for a lot of people they will not replay the game because of it. And because this dlc has no effect on the endings that is why people are saying whats the point of it.

To all the people arguing about the ending, I believe that I can resolve the problem for you. First of all, we all know great movies that we loved and they had sad endings or the protagonist died in the end, so the problem with ME3 is not Shepard's fate in the end; the real problem was with the HOW of it. See, BioWare invested us emotionally against a specific enemy in ME1 and especially ME2, remember the enemy? The Reapers. BioWare also invested us emotionally against the personification of that enemy; remember who I'm talking about? The Harbinger. Think of that and keep it in mind for a while; remember everything that enemy and its personification, your nemesis, did to you, your friends, and your fellow humans. Remember that by the time ME2 ends, we have major unfinished business with the Reapers, and especially with the Harbinger. Now let's fast-forward to ME3 and fast-forward through ME3 too; where are the Reapers? Are they the real enemy that you absolutely hate in ME3? Nope! They were replaced by the stupid, traitorous, brainwashed SOBs, Cerberus, and our fight against the Reapers in ME3, our hatred against them pretty much fades and shrinks compared to how things are against Cerberus. And the Harbinger? Totally, 100% gone, poof, never to be seen or talked to again...magically doesn't even taunt us anymore! And which evil personification, nemesis, replaced the Harbinger? Yep, Elusive Man. But wait...what about the unfinished business with...? Nah, BioWare doesn't care about what they did to us emotionally in ME2. And the worst thing is...in the very end, they don't even let you really hate the Reapers...Shepard is just standing there in front of a CHILD...who is supposedly representing the Reapers and everything they did to you, your friends, and humanity...you see the psychological catastrophe here when they place a CHILD to represent that final moment? And they take it even one step further...they tell you that the BEST and most noble choice is to make nice with them...synthesize, become one with the machines, change humanity into something else, and that's the inevitable ending anyway, so you might as well choose it now. And look, it's really sweet...your pilot will have sex with the robot. That's the major problem with ME3, and its ending, ladies and gentlemen?besides other secondary problems. And why did they do such a thing and really mess it up, thinking that they're ending the saga in an epic, dramatic way? Because the dramatic ending was always there, but got corrupted by the dodgy progagandist agenda of Transhumanism. Unfortunately, ME was hijacked to spread Transhumanism, that's all. I really hope someone rights these wrongs one day, and gives us back the beautiful story and fictional universe we got to know as Mass Effect.

Harbinger was a nobody.

In Mass Effect 1 our enemy was Sovereign and the Reapers.

In Mass Effect 2 it was the Collectors who Harbinger just happened to control even though you don't find that out until the very end of the game. But you are never given any reason to really give a crap about Harbinger since you don't find out about him until the very last minute of the game beyond him being a Reaper and therefore belonging to the group that encompasses your ultimate enemy. But Harbinger had no particular significance within the storyline. In point of the fact Harbinger just foreshadowed the godchild as there was no indication that the Collector's were being controlled by a Reaper when Bioware specifically lead you to believe that the Collector's were being controlled by one specific Collector up until the very last moment of the game when the Collector base is exploding and the credits roll and you hear a "Releasing Control" and then see a hologram of some random Reaper (they all look exactly the same).

Everyone saying that Harbinger was setup as being our ultimate enemy is simply fooling themselves as their is absolutely nothing to suggest that Harbinger was ever supposed to be the ultimate enemy.

In fact the only thing that Harbinger did is pretty much demonstrate that each Reaper was tasked with a specific assignment. Sovereign's assignment was making sure the Citadel opened for the Reapers to pass through (which was completely pointless as the godchild could have just opened the Citadel himself). Harbinger was tasked with running the Collector base. I am sure each other Reaper also had something to keep them occupied for the 50,000 years they had to wait before they got to invade the Galaxy again.

3-4 hours of content? So, I normally get about 40 hours playtime (minimum) out of a $60 RPG, that means this expansion should cost about $5 dollars, right? What's the bet it cost TWICE that!?

@Raeldor And you get 8 hours of campaign out of a shooter, right? And ME is heavy on the shooting. So you should be happy to pay $30 for this, right?

@megagood2345 ME is a hybrid shooter/RPG. Are you suggesting you finished the game in 8 hours? It took me about 40 including the various side excursions.

@megagood2345 I have no problem paying for content, but I DO expect value for money, the same as I would with ANY product I purchase. I think if you compared the amount of work that went into the $10 DLC against the amount of work that went into the $60 game you would find it was nowhere near 17% (yes, I'm using math again). Yet we are expected to pay significantly more for it. Why? $10 for 3-4 hours gaming is not value for money to me, and probably isn't for most people. DLC needs to stop being treated as a way for the publishers to cash in cheaply, and start being treated more as episodic content that has a significant amount of play time.

@Raeldor Not at all, just saying using math to determine what a DLC "should" cost is silly. I'm sick of gamers whinging about the fact that they are expected to pay for a product they enjoy and which costs money to produce. Get over it. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

@jetaj1 There's an autosave right before you assault the final Cerberus base, so, you can finish up any DLC and sidestuff.

Honestly I don't understand why so many of you encourage them to continue to do things like this by buying pointless DLC. I love this series I really do but all it is now is a cash cow. I don't want to see them kill the series but do the right thing and just start over with something called Mass Effect Universe

@engraphos ME1, while a very good story, was not a very good combat game. The combat and shooting mechanics were subpar compared to 2 and 3. I still play it as well from time to time, but the hacking mini-games (on the PC they are ridiculous) are tedious and frustrating, and every side mission is nearly the same "map."

@CommodoreRaslinTechnical reported to the game world a weapon of that type of accelerator mass effect may have hundreds, given that the bullets can be very tiny...you could have a handgun with 90 projectiles, or an assault rifle with 300projectiles.

But in a such weapon most important is the electrical source...power source should be rechargeable or battery changed...

I like the infinit ammo from ME1 but also to need ammo or a power source ad more tactic decisions...[ex. in Ghost Recon1 or ArmA, you not want to waste the ammo]

I disagree. The combat in Mass Effect 1 was much more enjoyable as it was fast paced, nonstop and every ability was only always useful but also each had their own seperate cooldowns. And the best part was that you had infinite ammo. I hate having tiny amounts of ammo that force me to either run around looking for more ammo or switch to a weapon I don't want to use just because that is the only one with ammo left.

One global cooldown to rule them all and too much boring duck, shoot, duck, shoot, duck, shoot gameplay made the combat in ME2 and 3 worse than ME1.

The only way and I mean THE ONLY WAY I will buy this dlc is if it will effect the ending and effect I mean Sheperd gets Leviathan and its some type of weapon he/can use against the Reapers AND WIN(not die) in the "Refuse" ending but obviously its not gonna be anything that story changing, more like its probably gonna be a dead Reaper or a ancient weapon whose tech he/shes gonna use for the Crucible like every other piece of tech he finds......Bioware DONT screw me again give me something ending changing like Arrival or Lair of the Shadow Broker, atleast if you did or didnt complete them it made a difference to the story....

@Chewin3 Well I guess I wont be getting this dlc, I will just catch it on Youtube like everyone else who doesnt see the point of forking over basically 10 bucks for a 3hr back story on the Reapers with some shooting and underwater action mixed in....sorry Bioware I may be a hardcore fanboy but I know when my loyalty is being taken for granted....
