I refuse to play it anymore until I can skip all the cutscenes.
I've been hearing arguments being made about how the game is "really big and needs a lot of time to load", but I know that's a bunch of bologna. The other day, I replaced all the bik files with empty text files of the same name, and the game successfully skipped right over those cutscenes and loaded the proper part of the level within 3-4 seconds (or less) on my PC, so I know it's not an issue with the game taking a long time to load.
The problem with doing that though is two-fold: Sometimes, the interface (the crosshair and health indicator, etc.) would not be displayed after a cutscene, and also, there are still a lot of cutscenes that cannot be skipped even after doing that. Furthermore, I honestly don't like the idea of having to hack the game to skip cutscenes.
Point being, I've played through the game once and enjoyed it thoroughly, and I very much would like to play through it many more times, but I'm not willing to do so until I can skip the cutscenes. Please add an option to do so.
I know some people will construe this post as an invalid complaint, but I don't think it's unreasonable to have to not have to watch the same (long) cutscenes over and over again.

Nope. Valid complaint.
Beat the game three times already, on Normal, Hard and NYM Hardcore, and I'm sick and tired of the cutscenes, although they are fantastic.

I agree that the cutscenes are fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the story the first time through, but now, enough's enough.

It seems like they only intended for people to play it once, but if that's the case, why have locked difficulties? Seems like they're conflicting design elements.

They probably thought it would be cool to not have any loading times, what they forgot is that same cut-scenes grow tiresome on repeated viewing, n tht ppl would rather have the quiet of the loading times, like in previous games, than sit-throught the scenes again, which sucks.
Don't think they are gonna patch the scenes out anytime soon though

And it is the nature of monsters to destroy their makers.

I think it's reasonable to want to skip the cut-scenes, sure, but I disagree with people implying the game is basically unplayable or un-enjoyable simply because of this missing option. I hear you but get over it, enough with the "I refuse to play anymore..." lines, No one cares... it's just a questionable design choice by them, they really ought to remove them from Arcade mode though.

Go make a sandwich or get something to drink during the cutscenes. Or go do something on the internet until it is over.

Except you get it about every 10-15 minutes. It's like a theme park ride, 2 minute's ride, 10 minute's waiting (slight exaggeration). Rince and repeat.
I think the complaint was based on how much time that's forcibly wasted due to cutscenes, because unless you crash the game through Ctrl+Alt+Del, you can't even get back to the main menu to quit the game when a cutscene starts playing.

Instead of replacing the cutscenes with text files copy the smallest movie file and use that to replace the others. This was a common way to rip PS2 games and should work here too I would think.

play new york minute or score attack
alot less cutscenes
that's what i did after i finished old school difficulty

i also wish they would stop taking away my guns so often
stop taking me out of cover automatically
stop auto switching to my pistol
stop dropping my into gunfire when the cutscene ends

Yeah, the cutscenes are nice to look at the first couple of times but if you die and are struggling to get past an area, it's extremely annoying to have to keep viewing that scene over and over until you clear it. And since the game obviously wants you to be playing on Hard and higher, this is going to happen far too many times.
