Max Payne 3 lead multiplayer designer Charlie Bewsher talks about breaking the space-time continuum.
This games multiplayer is more indepth and exciting than Call Of Duty will ever be, so all the haters can go play their 3rd COD DLC pack which is ModernWarfare3 n suck it! This game is third person, has ultra customization,its gruesome n bloody, gang wars is better than any COD multiplayer mode, it has burst like bullettime, paranoia, unlimited ammo, sneaky, etc.., and its just fuckin awesome! FPS=Fuckin Piece of Shit so get MP3 if you want a good multiplayer experience
Stop crying... the bullet time system is absolutely perfect...
It won't affect anyone unless the enemy is directly in the line of sight of the guy who starts the bullet time...
In other words, the guy who starts the bullet time mode has to have his aiming reticule over the enemy - if there are any enemies near the targetted one, the player can quickly change the aim and shoot those extra 2 or 3 guys too...
Next, the bullet time system doesn't work unless you've earned it (a bit like a killstreak to put it in terms of COD). The bullet time feature is available in 3 different speeds (each one drains the bullet time meter more based on the speed) and either way, these bursts of bullet time will only work for around 5 seconds tops... this being said, this feature could only hinder noobs but the MP seems pretty straight forward so I don't see how this would give some an advantage as it should be pretty easy to earn the bullet time feature.
Hopefully, with this later PC release date, us pc gamers wont get another crappy console port, like gta4. If so, a lot of modding groups will be upset, I already have a few ideas that could involve that sweet looking bullet time'! :D
@GryphonICD yeah I try to watch these on youtube however with the new player it's ten times better but the ads are killer on basically every video streaming site now
F#ck sake! I check out the vid as I'm intrigued despite my slow browser and have to put up with ANOTHER trailer for the game which lasts ages, can't be skipped and is on every sodding video we click on. Rockstar must be paying you big money in order for your marketing to be so bloody annoying. GO AWAY MP3 ADVERT!

Why is everyone complaining about bullet time, when you can see that the Multiplayer part will be utter crap.But still I'm getting this game, as I loved the first two games stories and gameplay (singleplayer campaign ofc, but well... there was no MP in those 2)
I'm sure they will make a option when you make a server/host to configure Bullet time on/off and all of those things if they're smart.
That ain't solving anything. Puttin the game in slow motion for both you and nearby people it NOT the same as "showing you're an inproved perception and reflexes state".Max Payne 3 is something I'll just not buy. The multiplayer doesn't interest me at all, if only they spent the time investing in making the story more interactive I could give it a shot.I already own all modern multiplayer shooters I might want.
Bullet time and third preson aspect is a good idea, more game developers sould use this in fps games!
Friggin This game looks awesome, although it bugs me that there's different release dates for the console and PC versions. UGH. I want it for PC so I can play it on my laptop. Then I can play it anywhere I want.

@bsnimunf It's based off of field of view. If you are within the line of sight of the player who initiates it then you are caught in bullet time. If you are not then it doesn't affect you.
I agree. Being able to take cover, dive and roll etc... is totally the way a shooter should be. Way more intense and realistic feeling/playing.
bullet time in MP is the best idea but its kinda stupid.(no offense)why?because in some mp match some idiots could use that tech over and over again...
I love how you all assume everyone can trigger bullet time. No, he clearly stated that it's a "burst". Which is basically a killstreak. Geniuses
There's the ping ( delay ) between players and there's the concept of time and space for each player which makes almost impossible to slow down time individually without affecting others. So, imo, considering the basics of physics, this is a lot of BS to me! Don't you see how ground breaking this would be if they really managed to create that? This is something inside the quantum physics, really complicated! I think they created just some sort of "feeling", not real bullet time on multiplayer.
Sooo.... I still don't really get how multiplayer bullet time is going to work. >_>Looks awesome though!
The concept of "Bullet time" is to use on a player in the-line-of-sight/fire so if you
decide to use it , what about other players that are around you while you're in slow motion , and looking at you ? are they just going to blow you away easily ? sorry about this maybe I misunderstood how it's used in multiplayer ......
I also hope single player gives us at least 12 hours of play along with SINGLE
PLAYER DLC to go with it .... hope hope and hope some more !!!!
@vivalatour It is based off of line of sight but if you looking at someone who has initiated bullet time then you are caught in their bullet time too unless you turn around get that player out of your line of sight.
