This looks like it will play a lot like CoD, but I mean that in the best way possible and I'm saying that because it looks like it will play a lot different than Battlefield 3.

Frostbite Medal of Honor had a bland story and weak multiplayer. All kinds of unbalanced maps that never got fixed. You could tell DICE didn't consider it to be their game and didn't care for the multiplayer. You know what? Being honest, I never got to play much multiplayer because of all the spawn camping. I'd spawn into the level and get shot or run for a few seconds and get shot. I actually almost completely skipped Battlefield 3 because of that and the impression it left me of DICE. I didn't even play much of the Battlefield 3 Beta because of how unbalanced it was. After an extreme Bad Company 2 sale, I played some of it's multiplayer and got hooked. And I actually purchased Battlefield 3 half-off as well and saw DICE could do MUCH better when they tweaked and tweaked. If Danger Close does the multiplayer here, I have no expectations. It looks good, but a shooter is just a shooter unless it's balanced right. Especially since all the weapons even look similar in these modern warfare games.

dont know if anyone agrees with with but Medal of Honor had the best campaign i had ever played and the worst multiplayer with little unlocks, few maps, bad game modes, im hoping this will have just as good a campaign and now that the same developers are working together on the multiplayer and campaign it will make it better. Dont know why they did that last time. The single player experience ended up being completely different than the multiplayer. This game looks like it will be better, but no multiplayer in my opinion can beat battlefields.

I think EA Games wants to delete call of duty from the market, but cod is more a close environment, that is why some people like cod, i don't but i think just cod fans will buy cod black ops 2 because they don't know this game xd

Looks very good, but it looks the same as battlefield, so should i buy it? I did like the campaign from the last Medal of Honor but developers just want to make multiplayer games and forget to make an indepth intresting and long campaign. sometimes i want to get away from people and play on my own. im fed up of getting shot at by 13 year olds who play 24/7 and dont have a real life outside psn/xbox live.

With ya there.  Multiplayer has become an arena of dudes who have investigated every nook and cranny of every map, and spend every waking hour honing their keyboard skills.  I'm pretty decent at playing but man, sometimes I can barely take two steps after spawning before getting blown away.  I would love to see games like this with really long campaigns, or maybe just good random AI fights.  Or perhaps create online battles which can be composed of lesser ranks only that the masters can't prey upon.

but yet again i think its gonna turn out to be better or as good as bf possibly with the same and dull single player campaign of its predecessor and the BF series

i wish it has both the strong points of cod (fun single player campaign) and bf (awesome visuals and multiplayer)

Finally there's a game to look forward to this year.  Medal of Honor is the only thing keeping EA in my good books :P

Looks absolutely epic, can't wait.

How can anyone say this looks like cod?

Cod looks more like tomb raider or quake graphics or even sponge boob graphics compared to this. Don't get me wrong cod plays well just like all the other cod series play. Once you played cod you played them all. One thing you can't fault cod on they stay true to their game play and graphics look. I would do same thing to if I made a gazillion dollars making the same thing over and over.

So there seems to be a lot of people looking forward to this game [me as well], but a lot who make a lot of negative comparisons with it and BF3 [against BF3 mainly] and then go on to include CoD in someway or some comparison between earlier games such as Bad Company 1 and/or 2  [I don't even know why / how you people constantly make a competition out of this stuff anyway, let people just choose what they have a preference with.. ]As a preferred player of BF3 out of all the FPS I've played [and I've played quite a few...], I've come to troll on some of ya', :D.1) "BF3 has ripped away freedom and destruction which people expected more of  from the Bad Co. series" -- The hell? Have you played BF3? Are you sure? I can destroy tanks by using mines as C4 and a grenade as the clicker.... Buildings collapse the same very way from the Bad Co. series [if not better]... Better yet, go play Caspian Border and stand up near that red-white tower when the game's about to finish.. I dare you... That's a lot of destruction packed into one game [don't even get me started on strapping C4 to not only jeeps, but any vehicle in general]. As for freedom, pfft... You're allowed to do all that AND: Cook grenades, change fire-rate on your gun, go prone, smoke with mortars, actually USE mortars, customize guns how you please -- all of that counts as, "Freedom" because it utilizes choice...2) "BF3 kinda' just copied CoD anyway with the whole Premium (CoD Elite) thing and customizing guns" -- No. Just no. You make it seem like you shouldn't be allowed to customize guns in a FPS. Dafuq's wrong with you?! Not to mention, the "Premium" thing has been done before in Bad Co. 2 with a different name (VIP) but you didn't bitch then, so why now? That's just the small issue of this thing anyway; that stuff like, "customizing guns" and "Premium" is an expected similarity of a game this genre and, well, a game in general! Therefore, how can it be, "copying"...? Its not a core principal in the game as to why people like it, (Like CoD's perks and small maps and BF3's vehicles and huge maps) -- You're not making any sense, so stop trying to sound like you do.

3) "BF3 story just sucks after how they did Bad Co.'s story anyway, but MoH's story is pretty good" -- Bit of yes, bit of no. BF3's story was actually pretty good, but characters were not developed [like, I can't even remember the name of the character already... Srgt Black? or something?]. On the contrary, Bad Co.'s story [both of 'em], was pretty good, and yes, MoH's story was a tear-jerker. Still, I don't know how many of you know but, DICE has already announced that they don't consider Bad Co. a major release in the BF series and is in a sub-series of its own, therefore you shouldn't be expecting the two to have similar aesthetics put into them, so just stop it, seriously....

4) "MoH: Warfighter looks like its just another CoD rip" -- Again, games of this genre will always share something similar, that is a fact. Because you find one or two small similarities does not necessarily mean the games are "the same thing". Admittedly, so far I haven't noticed anything that sets MoH apart from CoD, but then again I've only seen like 1 / 2 trailers sporting multiplayer. Still, I don't believe you should judge a game on something you may have only seen or may have not seen yet from just 2 trailers... So quick to judge, aren't ya'...~Not even sorry for the long post...#potatoes

@AvidMystGun Well, they hiped the previous version. And it was cool in SP. But it completely sucked in MP. And MP is what people basically buy games for, no?'Not enough freedom' should I refer to more, like having no dedicated servers, no extented server tools for the rented ones, to adjust gameplay to your liking. My biggest criticism to FPS nowadays, is that they all seem to aim for the same far too easy "run and spray" formula. All features out of that range are being taken away...Sniper scopes need a mirror, snipers bullets need bullet drop (BF3 M416 can kill you in an instant other side of biggest map, no prob...), the mortar strike out of bad company 2 is being taken away...All to encourage the "run and spray" gameplay style. And taking out most of the challenges.(If you know there's snipers out there, you should look for a way how to flank them...)Game designers overlook the fact that gamers want challenges.I only play BF3 because of the lack of any better. But offer me BF2 with todays graphics and sounds, and I don't hesitate a moment.

AvidMystGun
AvidMystGun

@Niotnake I somehow think you've slightly misunderstood me but at any rate, some of what you say still don't add up. For starters no, people do not basically buy games for just Multiplayer. In this genre, maybe, but I in particular enjoyed the CoD Single Player Campaign for the series and sometimes play it just for that [Don't like the CoD MP for different reasons, so I rarely if not at all play it]. Not sure what you mean like, "having no dedicated servers" as a freedom because quite frankly, that's a bad idea. Not everyone has a fast connection where they can host a game efficiently [like myself] and sometimes it has nothing to do with, "getting a faster ISP", like where in my case, my country only has 1 ISP, so I have to deal with it. In BF3, you CAN adjust gameplay on your rented server, such as changing the tickets, friendly fire, server spawn, set some custom rules and all of that. So I've no clue what your on about there. Also not sure about all games aiming for this, "run and spray" formula. For instance, Rainbow Six Vegas focused on tactical strategy in SP and a high portion of people went onto MP and did the same. BF series has usually been vehicle heavy and personally, with each installment in the series, they add to the option of choice. You say they take away anything that doesn't add to this formulaby adding, "bullet drop", but BF3 is a simulator of FPS, therefore bulletdrop is expected over some distance. For the 2nd time, Bad Co. is not considered a official / major release in the franchise by DICE but considered a sub-series, so stop expecting the same aesthetics / features in both of 'em. As for the M416 thing, I can do that with just about any gun; whether its an assault rifle, carbine or LMG; you just gotta' know how to squeeze the trigger. And imo, the challenges still exist within BF3. [Like I said, I can use mines as C4 with a grenade as a clicker, try flanking a tank to do that; that's a challenge right there] You shouldn't need the game to give you challenges for you to do 'em. Sounds like you're being lazy and then complaining about being lazy... Also, flanking is still something done A LOT in BF3. You can go look for just about any youtube video with some kid doing a massive killstreak. 60% - 80% chance, its 'cause he's flanking. ~Another long post... =/#Potato...

It looks like the frostbite 2 engine is being put to better use here than in battlefield 3.

after they released Bad Co. ( witch was much better that BF3) they changed Bf series standards people now expect destruction and freedom on a larger scale. battlefield 3 stripped us of that and adopted ideas ripped straight from larger titles. shorter packed full of set pieces campaigns with forgettable characters and an unlock system with sights, camo's, and other useless things. Not to mention Battlefeild premium (call of duty ELITE)

I thought the first medal of honor was impressive. Great campaign but the spawns in multiplayer were quite poor. Hopefully this keeps the character of the old game but improves the technical side of things.

COD people need to stop saying this game is like COD. its not... "oh medal of honor has killstreaks... THEY ARE COPYING COD!" It's medal of honor.. its going to be better than call of duty so get used to it.

xvoidassassinx6

@PeachyCats i will agree that a lot of games are clones of each other, but medal of honor is a more realistic take on war. they are using actual events that have happened in the current war. call of duty's now like the modern warfare's are just fantasy wars that you can do ridicules things like jump 70 feet to a helicopter thats hovering off a cliff.. they make you seem like an ultimate badass that can do whatever he wants. medal of honor and BF make it more team based like it would be in actual real life conflicts.
