Metal Gear Solid Rising Trailer Impressions

This project had become eerily silent, and Kojima too... I am sensing something here. Just like the times when Kojima says that he will never be involved but he did.

@kaem79 well they already made a game where snake wasnt the main playable character, it was mgs2, you could play as snake for a little bit during the beginning in the first chapter, but the rest of the game for the majority you play as raiden

i don't know they should've kept in a playstation exclusive, since MGS is moving to both platforms why don't they make gears of war on PS3 pleaseee

looking forward to this but not so exited because snake is not who you play. good idea to remove snake? absolutely not!

from what i have i heard, its definetly designed for the xbox and those new to the series. might get it, but looks a major departure, so maybe not.

Hideo Kojima not a fool why cuz he will not let MGS4 on XBOX360 what make Microsoft get sad on him, he develop this type to be on xbox but lots of changes from MGS4,, he said MGS4 the final in the series,lie why cuz he wont to let get straight on it,thats it poor xbox but dont give up xbox u have good game too, (the Japanese people are helping themselves)

While I think its awesome they're making a game about Raiden, I'm not sure they should call it a "Metal Gear Solid" game. The series is supposed to be about stealth, not going sparta on everything in sight.

This is ridiculous. MGS ON 360!?!?! That is so pathetic, i mean, they have clueless gamers, some guy in a magizine said "finnall some paced action instead of that boring stealth action" THAT'S SO PATHECTIC. MGS is good for its characters, storyline and gameplay, who gives two hoots about paced action, want paced action go play Halo or some gay FPS. If i were Konami, i would stop this project being released on the 360. No doubt this game will be good i just hope there could be a little bit of stealth elements in the game. I wonder if you can use firearms or just blades and daggers.

I'm wondering if this game will cover the story as to how Raiden meets and helps Big Mama recover the body of who they thought was Big Boss. That would be pretty sick. I just hope this game doesn't copy the hack and slash stuff from the nightmare big boss has in the cell in MGS3.

We'll see how well this Metal Gear looks on the Xbox. Multi-platform games tends to suit the 360 than the PS3. If this next MGS game tries to suit the 360, it will disappoint like Final Fantasy XXIII. If not, I predict 5 discs for the 360 version. This is Hideo Kojima we're talking about. Don't know how he can top MGS4, but it probably will happen.

No it's not Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty was on the original Xbox

I dont really see why this being on the 360 is a shock to most people seeing as it will not be the first MGS game on a Microsoft console.

the lightning bolt action tag just gave me the chills.. what if kojima implements the ZOE (fast-paced action) gameplay on this game.. that's gonna be awesome..

I am sure Metal Gear fans would figure out that this story might start at the end Metal Gear 2: Sons of Liberty and re-enter into Metal Gear Solid 4 when Raiden saves Snake from those damn GEKOs. And maybe you will get to play some of MGS4 over again. But only Raiden's part. After playing all these MGS, they might most likely link all the games together. I am sure there is one more MGS with Snake. Also between the time period of MGS 2 and MGS4. To show how he starts to age and blah, blah, blah.

@ Arkady_16: with console equality we wouldn't have such great games driving the business. It's the fight between 360, PS3 and PC that makes games awesome, makes game makers strive for something more to 1up their system, and keeps the nerds fighting on the forums. And that's always fun to watch isn't it? My point being, console equality is never going to happen and it's a good thing that it wont.

btw i dont hate the 360 or anything in case u xbox fan boys are wondering i just find it really weird for a metal gear game not a metal gear expansion to be on the xbox

i dont get why everyone hates raiden i didnt mind him at all. But the freaking fact this is goin to the 360 is truly shockin. metal gear solid has been on the sony consoles for like a 10 years and now its going the 360! thts just not right

Personally I dont think anything should ever be exclusive to a system so good to see they are releasing it on the PC and xbox aswell as the PS3. Hopefully this will be a start to everything being more or less equal.

I own 360 and PS3 but I must admit there is something just wrong about Metal Gear on 360. That's like Halo and Gears going to PS3.

the truth is that maybe the game will suck because of raiden.........so the x box 360 users will only play this game, not MGS 4, the best of all MGS series

I dont care what system it comes out on. I have both systems and just because i can im going to buy this game for both systems to compare. I say its a good thing more MGS for everyone!

@ bowlinggotter the problem is that microsoft have heaps fo exclusives that annoy sony fans, the worst offender probably being rockstar with the gay tony series, although i don't like gta4 so that doesn't effect me lol

Man come on guys I love the PS3 as well and hope it's always around, but what's with the fanboyism? People are actually disappointed that this is going to be on Xbox 360? It's not gonna keep you from playing it on the PS3. What's the problem?

Do not listen to MADANI_G below he is a ps3 fanboy. MGS4 can work on Xbox360 just like Rising is going to work in Xbox360. Konami and Kojima decided to keep MGS4 as a PS3 exclusive because of their Sony agreement this has nothing to do with the Xbox capabilities. Xbox360 has a better Graphic processing unit from PS3 anyway so it can clearly play MGS4 :) . As about MGS Rising it is rumored to be released in 2 DVD+DUAL LAYER discs for the X360. (just like Halo ODST was released in two disks)

Why don't they bring over MGS4 as well? This seems random, they did this with the original xbox as well. Just brought over MGS2 randomly.
