Armor Set Stats?

I've been playing the game for a few days now and basically just bought any armor piece that had the best defense stats. This MH-database however lists armor as whole sets and each armor piece has stats like these:

10~24~66

What does this tell me?
And since the last number is similar with all armor pieces, does that mean that all armor sets have similar defense stats once they're upgraded to their maximum and I can solely focus on the skills they carry?

Yes, the regular and + versions of all equipment will end with the same defense, and just have different skills and slots. Those numbers are their base defense, their defense when fully upgraded to pre-HR31 status, and their max defense after hitting HR31 and upgrading your armor to "+ status."
