Mortal Kombat has been out since 1993 and is one of the most popular video game franchises out there being either number 5 or 7 in the top 10. I'm going to be reviewing the new one for the Xbox 360, but that's after I beat story mode... On to the review.....

Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty good. Each character has 3 fighting styles. One being an equipped weapon, the other 2 being of mixed martial arts. Each character also has 2 costumes. At the beginning of the game, only 12 of the characters are playable. Once you get deeper into the game,you discover there are 21 characters in all. The fatalies are the usual: Fun and gruesome. It's rather dissapointing that each character only has 1 fatality. 7/10

Graphics: The graphics are great and shows great quality of the blood. But after playing Mortal Kombat (2011), it could be better. 8/10

Music: The music is possibly the best part of the game. It's very on point with the stages. All I have to say on that. 10/10

Overall:It's a pretty good game for the PS2. There were a few flaws, but the more flaws= more improvements on games. If you don't feel spending money on video games, rent it. Rating: 8.5/10
