Check out the opening cutscene in Need for Speed Undercover!
ahhh..... after waiting for 2 years im back to have some fun outruning the cops.i think nfs, most wanted, carbon, and undercover are the ea`s greatest hits
Lol DJDeni.. buying a real car... First off... if you bought a car and drove it... it is NOT a simulation.. it is reality.. I hope you can get that to your head. ^^. @Bloodhawk. I agree. MW and HP were my favorites. Never played any of them after MW so I can't say where NFS has been going... but I'm coming back (maybe) to see whats going on in the NFS world.
I'm hoping EA catches the flavor that Most Wanted gave us. Which is the most entertaining NFS game I've played. Last two games were disappointing.
Damn, DJDeni, if you were talking about me then you obviously didn't read my posts completely....I'm not asking for a driving simulation, or atleast i don't think i do. I just want something that makes driving around on the streets actually fun, it just always seems lacking, like the games physics or whatever could be enchanced or somethin so that it looks better. But even if i did want the NFS games to be a simulation street racing game then what would be wrong with that? it could be probably pretty sweet, not as fun as the arcade idea i had in mind..... But when you say you should just go buy a car, that doesn't really make sense( i'm gonna go all out a be brutal and such) how you would be able to purchase porche 911 turbo when you're only like 16 years old and be able to add a crap load of customizations to it and have it all tuned up and race in the streets doing random donuts and burnouts. Thats the cool thing about games is that you could be able to do that without spending A LOT of money and never getting hurt, it would be great if it felt like it had more realism to it. I'm just putting it out there. Undercover was a decent game, just lacks a bunch of stuff, i guess it was ok, but it only took like maybe 10hours tops, if that. It'd just be fun if the game had more re-play value and such....
Hey Guys for all people her the game is fantastic . like a bomb Gameplay 11/10 - Graphics 9/10 : Becouse its Directs 9. i think the next release will be Directs 10. NOW FOR CUPS YOU HAVE to Win like 20% of the game to know how bad will be When the 5 purche cars and 5 niSSan GTR COP CARS and a helicopter and 3 land cruiser jeeps after u and the only way to get away its to think faster like your speed PC WoRDS HIGH RESOLATION - HIGH GRAPHICS . Bye Bye
man, im tired of you yappers.. there is always something wrong with nfs. u will never be happy. I played NFS serial frod the very first one, and every one of them has been perfect. Not Realistic, but offering hours and hours of fun, COZ THATS WHY WE PLAY GAMES! If u want a real driving simulation go buy your self a REAL CAR!.. This is a video game.. And a lots of thanx to guys from EA. We love this game, and we want more of it! An thanx for putting a Renault back in the game! Peace
It would be awsome if they compiled all the great things from some of their previous games like underground 2,I really liked the tuning capabilities and all the cutomization, inside and out! Along with how having a nice looking ride actually meant a little something. Because honestly thats what i've liked about NFS, is the street racing with customization, tuning and cops. Only problem is that this idea might already be exhausted with the crappyness of their previous installments, but i think it is possibly to make it happen. It would be sweet if they could actually make a fun game to play, With all the good stuff from the previous along with some actually good graphics along with and actual playable frame-rate... They should really re-do their physics enigne thingy cuase it's really not that fun, They should keep it arcady, but add more realism to it, like burnout and grid, it's like as if you can really feel the power of the car as it's ripping out from it's burnout. It would be sweet if when you are racing around, or just roaming the streets that it has that added realism to it that it makes your super-car look and feel like it actaully has a lot of power compared to now crappy mazda that you started off with, completely stock with no money put into it. Yeah, i just think it would be cool if they made the( and i know i'm repeating myself a lot, but who cares. Suffer ;P) game actually fun to play, and make it so that when you finish the story it's not really over and there is still a lot for you to do afterwards. Yeah, thats my dream for NFS, a finely-tuned game thats fun for more than 10 hours( after you complete the story-line)
meh, this game is just dissapointing again, i had really high hopes for it. It's a decent game, the cops are back and it's pretty fun, but thats about it. I played throught the game and finished it a few days ago. The game just rots there on my pc now probably not to be touched for a while. There is no real replay value in this game at all. But wow it just pisses me off how crappy they made this game, it's so un-refined and unpolished aswell, it's really sad. The menu and the way it's set-up just really shows that they just put this game together asap. It's a crappy menu. I liked tha MW and Carbon menu's better. And another thing that stands out is the frame-rate problem, why the hell does it have such a bad frame-rate? i have a really decent computer and it's not a very demanding game and i'm getting almost always 30fps, it's really sad that they put no above and beyond work like other games. it's just too bad, they have decent ideas and such, but there are just so many things that aren't fined tuned, which just makes the game not fun at all.... I wish they
knight4000 (4 hours ago) Show Hide 0 Poor comment Good comment Marked as spam Reply | Spam ur rite man! i just played it and it really is sick how bad is it??? how about the highway battle, is that any good?? awful! i gave this game 3 out of 10. When you try to turn left/right you say OMG! what the hell is wrong with the car, and then u realize that it's a crap cuz it's TOO sensitive. Next, the chases are really boring because the police is so stupid that they crash each other and you just have to speed up and that's it! you're free again! really boring and finally if you install the game at 3:00 p.m. u can finish it by 6:00 p.m. it's extremely easy! (sorry for my bad english) here's one of my E-mails
this game must really sucks guys from youtube sending me E-mails how horrible this game is. so far I recieved 30 E-mails now 30 people cant be lieing
Why is this happening to nfs ? I hope that at least the next one will be half as good as carbon. 4/10 for me
the game is beautiful, but i think the low ratings are due to lack of originality and an uber forgiving driving. this ability to pull perfect corners at high speeds...
Howardorr: That is not skillful driving. it's LAZY driving. who slows down just to let the cops catch up when you're escaping from them?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A 5.0/10 on IGN for Xbox 360, a 4.0/10 on IGN for PS3! The OBVIOUS choice is Midnight Club: Los Angeles, which got an 8.5 from IGN.
I must admit that's a sick intro - and at least they didn't re-use sounds like they did from Most Wanted to Carbon
@blackspecialist: it's called skillful driving, maybe you should try it sometime. Anyway, the opening sequence reminds me of Michael Mann: i.e., it takes itself too seriously.
looks good was hoping prostreet would have cop chases so i will defo trade in prostreet in hope of getting undercover as prostreeet was a bit of a disspointment in ym eyes.
Espadano6 ''Posted Nov 18, 2008 12:17 am PT it look super cool ,it reminds me of most wanted, and i wish to be better then carbon cuz the carrer was smal and beter then prostreet cuz in prostreet u couldn't ride the car in the city and there wasn't any cops'' Pardon? I couldn't understand that at all.
no lie. i read on ign they gave this game 6.5/10 on gamepro they gave it 2.5/5 on gameplayer they gave it 4.5/10 thats sad
same old same old....looks to have a driver 3 approach in the form of a movie, 'need for speed' needs something new
Same old crap from EA. What NFS needs is a completely NEW direction. They are trying to capitalize on a decades old concept that movies like "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "The Fast and the Furious" did back in 2000. It's 2008, and they need to go in a new direction that still has the chases and races, but that is truly more open ended like the Midnight Club series. This confined linear track model is for babies. Also, the reason these games are not "high tech" is because they are for consoles which have limited hardware and a much less demanding audience than PCs and PC users...
:O Christina Milian mmmmmmmmmmm. I hope the player gets to be the cop in this, an undercover cop. Cause most NFS have had other undercover cops in its storyline and its getting rather boring now. So spice it up by letting the player be a cop.
note to EA... ever heard of DAMAGE MODELING??? i mean whats the use of all those multicore phisics powered CPU's and GPU's when the game is just Most Wanted with a SLIGHT graphical uplift?? i mean... COME THE HELL ON EA!!! this game... unfortunatly... sux... sorry... but its a big letdown... i am a fan of NFS... but EA needs to stop thinking about money and start thinking about games... The only thing i liked from this clip was the cop AI that was really nice... however... the game is crap...
it look super cool ,it reminds me of most wanted, and i wish to be better then carbon cuz the carrer was smal and beter then prostreet cuz in prostreet u couldn't ride the car in the city and there wasn't any cops
ps2 goes to show what it can realese with its beatuifully crafted emotion graphics engine. i-i can't belive this...a perfect need for speed.
well, guys tuesday in u.s. is the big day!!! im hopeing this game hit the mark?? if not dont say i'd tried to warn u
I just played this game - I was expecting a good game after what I saw in prostreet and now I`m so dissapointed... really what happened to NFS? Ithought pro street was a tough lesson for EA but it wasn`t. I`m very sad but i have to teel everyone - Avoid this game - really.
