Teen queens sing in Simlish

What do 1980s rockers Depeche Mode, hip-hoppers Black Eyed Peas, and teen sister act Aly & AJ have in common? They've all sung in complete gibberish--thankfully, that "gibberish" is the language of one of the best-selling games of all time.

Aly & AJ, who sang the remake of Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine" for the Lindsay Lohan vehicle Herbie: Fully Loaded, are contributing one of their songs to The Sims 2: Pets, due out later this year from Electronic Arts. The song was rerecorded in simlish, the indecipherable mumbles of the game's characters, the sims.

"We are huge fans of The Sims, so it was really cool to be tapped to provide music for their latest project, The Sims 2: Pets," said AJ. "When we told EA that we could speak simlish they were really psyched! It was fun to reinterpret our song for The Sims and, ultimately, our fans!"

A new version of "Chemicals React" will be featured in the console, PC, and PSP versions of The Sims 2: Pets. All versions of the game, including Game Boy Advance and DS editions, will be released in October.

    Nvr herd of theses girls but the demo of their wrk on the sims 2 looks good, i've alwys liked the sountracks inside the sims and i've evn tried to sing thm!

    contrary to popular Gamestop belief, simmers are all over the place tracking down news. I've never heard of them, and confess, don't care about them. There is always new music for each expansion pack, and Maxis has tried to get unique recording artists for each one, which is an interesting marketing tool, I suppose, but as previously stated, i usually play with sound off, and in those folders have my own music when sound happens to be on...such a rarity, but on occasion...

    I never heard of these girls...apparently from Disney chanel or something lol Barenaked ladies did a couple of songs for OFB actually too Ah well the music isnt the reason I buy the games.

    And bobdobpants: I have no idea why people post that have no desire for knowledge of the games that the news is related to...they're morons.

    I like the sims, but i don't think this will have any affect on whether or not I purchase the game expansion.

    I've never heard of Aly & AJ. However, their song in Simlish will have zero effect on me when it comes to buying Sims expansions.

    I love The Sims 2 and decided quite a while ago that I will definitely be buying the Pets expansion.

    For the record, if most of you haters would have read the entire article, you would have noticed previous artists have done this before also, including the Black Eyed Peas. Aly and AJ didn't come up with the idea, it's EA's new trend for Sims. So no, weird people you've never heard of don't always do these kinds of things.

    Now, I am in no way defending it, but if you're going to criticize something, atleast know what you're talking about.

    This just in: The Sims 2 fanbase is unlikely to ever visit or even hear of GameSpot.

    now only if they had a interaction that ler sims perform songs from the soundtrack. Rigth now that can only perform "Rock" "Country" "Jazz". Gives us some more choices Maxis

    Aly and AJ are Disney Channel Hasbeens who will probably never grow up, in a couple of years they will probably be flat broke, drunk and have an obbsession with Prescription Drugs which would lead to their death.

    I would care if a Metal Band was doing something in Simlish, but I do not care to hell about Disney Channel Wannabes.
