Forza 2 gets bundled down under

Xbox 360 bundle with Forza Motorsport 2 to retail for A$699.95 ($572) in Australia; wireless steering wheel to get temporary price reduction.

Microsoft is pulling out all stops to promote the upcoming launch of Forza Motorsport 2 down under, announcing a special retail bundle with the game as well as a price reduction for the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel to try to tempt wannabe racers.

The Forza Motorsport 2 Xbox 360 bundle will include a console and a copy of the game, and will retail for A$699.95. Microsoft is also cutting the price of the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel--albeit temporarily--from A$199.95 to A$149.95. The racing wheel's price rises back to its normal cost after July 31.

While Forza 2 is racing to US store shelves as we speak, Aussies won't get the game until June 14. The new bundle and racing wheel price reduction also begins June 14.

"eaven GT3 is 9.4 more than the 7 years more new forza 2" First of all, please make your post a little more understandable, even george bush could have done a superior job making sense. Well....we'll call it a draw. The original xbox did not even come out until nov. 2001, and gt 3 was out in july 2001. Meaning that the ps2 was the top console at the time, so of course reviewers would give it a high score when all other systems or games wouldnt compare to it.

Im a Forza fan, i also like GT. But i do think that GT dragged on far too long towards the end.I mean, who wants to ride round the same oval track for 24 hours?

GrimBee is correct, Alex Navarro is one of the credible GameSpot reviewer. He is also extremely good at pointing out game's weakpoint and strength. He is usually extremely hard score giver, but he give 9.2 for this one. I think this means the game is extremely good.

"metiocore overrated *cough* forza". The first game was brilliant, and gamespot are hardly ever wrong with reviews, especially Alex N (who is typically great at reviewing). And the second one scored extremely highly on Gamespot, by Alex N himself.

So this bundle should be well worth it. Its better than shipping with something crap or old (like kameo or something).
I hope people will see the differences between gt and forza 2 - forza has a heck of a load of nice options like customizing, selling your customizations, downloading new ones... and not to mention the damage models that each car has (gt never has this).

Overall Forza 2 seems well worth it in a bundle, better than any soccer game anyways!

I really like Forza 2 -- never played the first one (never owned an original Xbox) but I do miss the rally mode offered in GT4. It was just really fun to slide the car around on dirt, snow, asphalt, and ice. It added some difficulty to an otherwise easy game (you can modify your way to victory most of the time). They even had real rally cars in the game which made it more true to life. But on the other hand-- no damage and the only mode you couldn't bumper car through was the rally mode (5 second penalty for even a tap on the bumper).

The physics in Forza 2 are great, and the handling model is spot on. The sense of speed is also really good. They went for smoothness over detail w/ the graphics but they still look "good". Sound could have been more varied but is still very good. The Microsoft Wheel also works well after you get used to it.

Overall-- the best racing game I've played in a very long time. I especially like what was done to vary the online modes.

And btw -- anyone that thinks NFS games even compare to Forza or GT are very delusional.

Cool. Hopefully the game has my Chevy Lumina in it. It's going rock with lime green paint and sweet rims! I love good ole' american muscle crammed into a 6 cylinder engine.

Another game with car's I will never get to drive, in real life.

GT had it's day. 1 and 2 had amazing graphics and great physics. They just handled well. After that, it went downhill and I think Polyphonic started focusing too much on cramming in cars and dumb race modes. We'll see what GT5 brings but for now Forza 2 is king. Just the way cars handle and the sense of speed is fantastic.

the best racing game i've ever played was need for speed 2.....i beleive it had under 20 cars.....but i definetly played it alot longer than project gotham 3....and i got bored of GT4 after about 5 minutes.....i havvne't acucaly played this one....they should really put more effort into makign a game more fun....even if they want to keep it a sumulator...it would be nice if they made better and more interesting places to drive.....

dont you guys ever get tired of **** at each other? oh yeah thats right, this is how you obtain nutrients for cellular growth. besides how can you compare forza2 to gt4, technically? also how can you compare it gt5 which last time i checked, doesnt exist.......oh and the wheel is way overpriced.....

not played Forza 2 yet .. but Forza was a GT beater ... we will see how much polyphonic digital takes on board from Forza when it get's released next year ( .. Damage anyone !! hell even trying to teach you about racing lines and where to break would be a start )

now that i bought Forza 2 i am sure its better than GT because in here you actually feel the speed in your car and its not all simulation which is nice because in GT it gets too boring after a while, oh and let me say that the graphicsa re just amazing.

The fact that GT4 is holding up even to Forza 2 should be enough to shut most of you Forza fans up. The game isn't as graphically strong as it should be and isn't a true sequel but more like Forza 1.5.

Like most here the fact that forza 2 is built from the ground up on a new engine giving us 60fps gameplay, ultra realistic physics, unprecedented level of customisation, damge, great graphics online careers, tournaments and auctions means that quite frankly GT5 HAS ALOT OF WORK ON ITS HANDS. Oh and gt 700 cars are made up of alot of older/newer models of the same car and cars thats only purpose when u win them is to fund the purchase of one of the decent cars in the game. I MEAN THERE WERE 700 CARS BUT NO FERRARI OR LAMBORGINI SAYS IT ALL.

While ll your points over Forza 2 to Gt is true, you know you're comparing Forza 2 that is coming out on the X360, a next gen system, to GT4 which came out on a PS2, an ancient system compared to X360. Seriously talk about your cheap shots, you guys wanna steal candy from a baby later, would that make you feel better too?
Ok, for reals though, Forza2 have a done a damn good job of setting up a pretty high bar for GT5 to beat or even match, so racing freaks should jump on this deal since the game is good.

Gran Turismo has 800 cars because they have SO many different versions of the same car. Forza doesn't need that, because you can actually customize you car, a lot. Forza>GT

800 cars makes 300 on Forza look bad????
Who teaches these kids these days/?

Try gameplay, physics, online play, single player play, options, features...... they appear to be more important to me than an extra 500 cars!! Most of them drive and feel exactly the same anyway so it isnt a big issue is it...... do you really think the extra 500 cars are going to drive and feel so unique to each other they are worth it??

Forza is like Sex...... it isnt the quantity, but the quality that matters, and MS can stick that on the box with my permission !

"Don't forget that GT has such useful racing vehicles as the Yaris and VW Beetle (and dozens of other such high powered racing machines), just the sort of thing you want in a racing game.... not."

I'd take damage modeling, realistic physics, and online play over 800 cars any day.
