Video Q&A: Dyack talks Too Human
GameSpot speaks with Silicon Knights' president at Microsoft's Spring Showcase about his long-awaited Norse-mythology action RPG finally getting a release date.
At yesterday's Microsoft Game Studios' Spring Showcase, the publisher gave the gaming press extensive looks at its crucial holiday lineup. Included in the melange of titles were Epic Games' follow-up to GameSpot's 2006 Game of the Year, Gears of War 2, as well as Lionhead Studios' Fable 2 and Rare's Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise.
Positioned in the vanguard of Microsoft's Xbox 360 end-of-the-year charge is Silicon Knights' long-awaited Too Human. Announced as an Xbox 360 exclusive back in 2005, Microsoft and Silicon Knights at long last slated the game in for an August 19 North American release (August 29 in Europe) yesterday and showed off the game's two-player co-op online modes.
At the event, GameSpot spoke with Silicon Knights president and Too Human director Denis Dyack to find out how it feels to finally have a release date for his 10-year-plus-in-the-making project, what he thinks about console exclusivity, and why the co-op mode has been scaled back to two players.
