Raven Squad infiltrates 360, PC
SouthPeak enlists to distribute Hungary-based Atomic Motion's RTS-FPS hybrid on Microsoft platforms this fall.
Formerly a PC stalwart, real-time strategy games are becoming less of an oddity on consoles, particularly in light of Command & Conquer and Halo Wars heading to the Xbox 360. The genre is getting a little more crowded on Microsoft's platform, as SouthPeak Games today announced it would be distributing Budapest, Hungary-based Atomic Motion's RTS-first-person shooter mash-up Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger on the Xbox 360 as well as Windows PCs. Evolved Games is set to publish the title.
Scaling down the full-nation approach to RTS gameplay, Raven Squad drops two mercenary squads consisting of eight members in total in the middle of a conflict in the Amazon. While exact gameplay details have yet to be revealed, SouthPeak noted that players will be able to seamlessly transition between the RTS and FPS approaches to accomplishing missions.
SouthPeak expects to unveil more details on Raven Squad via its official Web site as the game's fall release window approaches.
