AU Shippin' Out September 8-12: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
Rare's family-friendly Viva Pinata series returns this week down under.
The pinatas return to the Xbox 360 this week, but not under the happiest of circumstances. In an ill-fated attempt to steal the information from the pinata database, Professor Preston has managed to wipe the machines clean, sending Pinata Island into chaos. As the caretaker of Pinata Island, you've got to rebuild the pinata database by enticing pinata back to your garden, stocking them with candy, and sending them on their way to parties around the globe. There are 32 new species of pinata added to the mix this time around, as well as a fully fledged drop-in/drop-out co-op mode, and Xbox Live Vision camera support. Expect to see Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise in stores this Thursday.
While Spore managed to find its way onto store shelves earlier than its official date, EA's two other releases last week--Mercenaries 2: World in Flames and FaceBreaker--missed the mark. EA has confirmed to us that they will both be making appearances this week on the September 11.
