Aussie game charts: October 6-12
Wii Fit proves that casual gaming reigns supreme down under.
There are three things that are certain in life: taxes, death, and Wii Fit topping the Australian game charts. Well, maybe not the third one, but that's certainly how it looks after Wii Fit claimed yet another week at the top, according to data trackers GfK Australia.
Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition debuted at number two for the week of October 6-12. The Wii Play bundle remains in the same place as it was last week at number three. Mario Kart Wii has moved up one, into number four, while Wall-E for the Nintendo Wii has made its first appearance in the top 10, right in the middle at number five. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 versions of FIFA Soccer 09 both fell from the previous week, taking out the sixth and seventh places, respectively. SingStar Hottest Hits continues to hold strong in eighth position. The Xbox 360 version of FIFA Soccer 09 fell harder than its PlayStation counterparts, finding itself in the ninth spot this week. Wall-E on the PlayStation 2 just squeezed into the top 10 chart by taking out the 10th position.
