@ticklemonster1 That's what I was talking about, why wouldn't they track the pod to the prison colony? The plot doesn't make much sense.
Aliens: Colonial Marines delayed to fall
Sega says it did not want to "sacrifice creative process" to meet former spring ship date; first-person science fiction shooter now due this fall.
Gamers hoping to play Aliens: Colonial Marines in spring 2012 won't have that opportunity. In a statement provided to the GameStop-owned Game Informer magazine, Sega and Gearbox Software revealed that the sci-fi first-person shooter has been delayed to fall 2012.
"Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line," reads a line from the statement provided to Game Informer.
"While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blueprint. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blueprint because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date."
When it does ship, Aliens: Colonial Marines will arrive for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Its story will pick up shortly after the events of the 1986 sci-fi film Aliens. Players will join a squad of the titular space soldiers who board the USS Sulaco, the spaceship from the film, after it is apparently abandoned. From there the action will spread to the surface of the planet LV-426 and its main settlement, Hadley's Hope. The first-person shooter will also feature environments and weapons inspired by the film.
