Asia Shippin' Out: March 27-April 2
New 3DS titles make their debut today, while a familiar face from Square Enix and a nod to old-school wrestling join in.
As the week of March 27 hits, so too does a new portable console from Nintendo. The 3DS (US region console, of course) makes its debut for consumers all over Singapore, with the release date for the rest of Asia yet to be confirmed. With a new system comes a bevy of launch titles. Gamers who wish to take their portable gaming further will get to play games like Pilotwings Resort, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and many more.
For those who aren't that interested in new consoles, there are still a bevy of games to fill up that plate. Old fans of the Parasite Eve series should take a look at The 3rd Birthday for the PSP. Gamers control Aya Brea as she tries to save the current timeline of ruined New York by possessing soldiers from the past to alter the timeline's outcome. The game is action-heavy through and through and forces players to use the game's overdive system to their advantage against the Twisted army. The English localized version 3rd Birthday will be out tomorrow.
Next up is WWE All Stars, slated to arrive tomorrow. Gamers will get to control all of their favorite old-school wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage and pit them against fresh legends like the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. This arcade brawler will feature a multitude of match types, including Triple Threat, Fatal 4 Way, Tornado Tag, Elimination, Extreme Rules, and Steel Cage. WWE All Stars will be out for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, and PSP.
Capping off the week is the seventh game in the Dynasty Warriors series for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The classic one-versus-hundred action game will include the Jin clan for the first time. In addition to new battles, players will get to use new Jin generals along with preexisting ones from past games and can use a general's Musou attack midjump. The English localized version of Dynasty Warriors 7 will be out tomorrow.
