Assassin's Creed movie in 2013
Ubisoft's feature-legnth motion picture starring Michael Fassbender to debut next year.
The Assassin's Creed movie will hit theaters in 2013, according to Ubisoft chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin. Speaking to Games Industry International, Sardin revealed the date when talking about the transmedia marketing plan surrounding the Assassin's Creed franchise.
This news follows Ubisoft's announcement last month that the publisher had "fast-tracked" the film through a partnership with New Regency. Ubisoft's deal with New Regency allows the game maker to maintain control of "key elements" of the film's creative direction.
The Assassin's Creed movie will star Michael Fassbender, who played major roles in Inglourious Basterds, Prometheus, and Shame. No additional cast members, director, or producers have been announced for the movie.
