AU Shippin' Out April 23-27: Prototype 2
Get bloody revenge as you take on the role of a new protagonist in this week's Prototype 2.
Prototype 2, the sequel to Radical Entertainment's 2009 action adventure title, is out this week in Australia on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The game will introduce a new character, Sergeant James Heller, who must fight to avenge the death of his family. (As you've undoubtedly guessed by now, there's a new bio threat in town: a different type of biological beast that has grown organically.) Like the first game, Prototype 2 takes place in a modern New York City called New York Zero, with the war zone split into three distinct divisions: Red Zone, the infected bio jungle; Yellow Zone, playing host to survivors; and Green Zone, under heavy military control.
Weaponisation plays a bigger role in Prototype 2, with Heller sporting the ability to disable and disarm vehicles.
For those among us looking for something a little more bloody, Bloodforge on Xbox Live Arcade also lands this week. This dark action combat game is set in an ancient Celtic world and follows a warrior by the name of Crom, who goes back to fighting the gods after they do something bad to his family (are you noticing a pattern here?).
Other games worthy of a mention this week include Bejeweled 3 on the DS and Top Gun: Hard Lock on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
