Aussie StarCraft II tournament detailed

Blizzard has enlisted the help of ACL to handle the Aussie stretch of its StarCraft II World Championship Series.

Blizzard has teamed up with Aussie pro gaming group ACL to bring the StarCraft II World Championship Series to Australia.

The competition is divided into various regions, with Australian and New Zealand gamers falling into the Oceania leg of the tournament. Competitors will start off battling it out at state-level qualifying rounds, before progressing through to the nationals. With the Australian nationals over, the Aussie champions will then go up against New Zealand's finest, before an all-star team of Australian and New Zealand StarCraft II players is decided.

At this stage, only tentative time periods have been given for the qualifying rounds, which are set to take place around the May/June period.

You can find more information on the Australian qualifying rounds of the StarCraft II World Championship Series over at the official ACL website.
