@reivax_darkmage It was suppose to come to 3DS eShop until Nintendo rejected it due to its contents and materials being too closed to those in the Bible. It's a good game but to those ppl who go to church probably wouldn't want to play this.
Binding of Isaac sells 700K, console version teased

Edmund McMillen says $5 downloadable PC game reached sales milestone after arrival of Wrath of the Lamb DLC, hints at console release.
Edmund McMillen's $5 downloadable PC game The Binding of Isaac has sold 700,000 copies, the designer revealed in an email blast last night. He said the release of the game's Wrath of the Lamb downloadable content caused a "huge influx" in sales and pushed the game to its new sales milestone.
McMillen explained that the Wrath of the Lamb expansion sold a fifth of overall sales, or about 140,000 copies. This DLC launched at the end of May and added new enemies, rooms, bosses, and items. At the end of January, The Binding of Isaac had sold nearly 450,000 copies.
McMillen also spoke about the Wrath of the Lamb's launch, calling it "a bit rocky." He said, "the limitations of Flash and the abundance of items caused an infinite number of variables that we simply couldn't effectively test, and it kinda sucked."
He explained that the expansion's game-breaking bugs were dealt with on launch day, but another content update was still necessary. Wrath of the Lamb v1.3, which is available now, includes more items, bosses, enemies, music, secrets, and a "hard to attain final ending cutscene."
McMillen concluded his note with a tease of where The Binding of Isaac may be headed.
"700k is a big number," he wrote. "Maybe it's time to bring this thing to console ;)"
He did not elaborate further, but in March, McMillen said he was eyeing Sony platforms for a future release of the religiously charged game.

I don't know how anybody is really having issues running this game, runs flawlessly on my machine, even if it is a flash designed game. I also really haven't encountered any bugs to speak of, but I guess i haven't gotten that right combination of items to cause any bugs :/
One of the best games to come out last year, I'm still playing the hell out of it. This game is a design masterpiece :)
He says that like it was up to him to decide... indies send their games to SONY and they decide whether or not it's coming out on their platform. Team MEAT sent them Super Meat Boy a long time ago and they rejected it.
Meaning, he probably got the OK already.

@Adamo23 Not sure what you're getting at, but the soundtrack is amazing. It's reminiscent of classic games, but with a modern twist.

Am I the only one who ran from this game after first loading it up? It ran choppy and the story is so f*cked up.
I didn't run. I was a little WTF about it not being able to run smoothly on even medium settings. However, I kind of like the low setting; it makes the game seem a touch 8 or 16 bit, much like the game that inspired it.
3 Like @Succumbus Yea the game runs choppy on even beastly machines because it is written in flash; flash is terribly inefficient. I would think to reach certification for a console port (as well as to actually run on a console) it will need to be ported to something proper like C++. Then hopefully that will be patched into the game and it'll run flawlessly on everyone's computer.
I've sunk more time into this game than I would like to admit - would be great to see it expand to consoles.

Best $5 game I've ever bought, can't stop playing it. I think I'm about an hour into Max Payne 3, and haven't touched it in over a week.

Weird is...the game has a dark humor but to me it is so heavily inspired in the original Zelda from the NES that I just can help myslef but to enjoy it even further!!
The game is honestly one of the best ways to kill 15-30 mins you can find not long term play 6-7 hours you wasted a day game but for the price well worth it the expansion had some bugs but they are working it out i'd recommend it heck it could not be sold much cheaper either I think payed all of five dollars for the lot of it.

I could see it on the console the dual joysticks be a good setup, one for move one for shoot and then a couple buttons mapped for the items and bombs so yeah thats a def possiblity in the future though no way in h@#$ does nintendo allow it its abit TOO dark at points I mean last night I was playing and by the end my sad issac had gone from the weepy kid at the start to what appeared to be a roided out construction zombie so yeah its abit dark :P

Its also refreshing to see him sell an expansion that good for 3 dollars I mean lets see EA do that, not to mention all the support he gives the game is more then EA does. A developer that actually cares about the people playing the game and listens to them? How can that be?
1 Like This is a great game and anyone with 5 bucks on hand and a steam account should pick it up, I have over 30 hours put in to it and I still haven't bought Wrath of the Lamb but the replay ability is still going strong even after 28 mom kills because of the procedural generation.. I'm happy for Ed, can't wait to see what he comes up with next, and would love to play this on console.
That's a whole lot of k's. Where can I pick up a 'k'? Oh look, there's one on my keyboard... I think I'll keep it.
They deserve it, this game is a great passtime!Releasing it on handhelds or Smart phones could be great, though I doubt touchscreen controls would provide satisfying experience.

I can't run it well on my current computer. But I'd prefer a handheld version. Too bad the 3DS version fell through. I don't own a Vita.
