Video footage of upcoming Call of Duty title hits YouTube, other streaming sites; Treyarch encouraged by excitement, says legitimate streams are due this week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II has leaked a full week ahead of its launch worldwide next week. Numerous videos from the game have appeared on YouTube and other streaming sites, leading Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar to comment on the matter.
"If you are going to live-stream the game early, which I don't remotely recommend, you could at least be good at it. :P," he said over Twitter last night. He added, "I'm really glad people are excited for the game. Legit streams coming up later this week and early next. Watch this space."
Black Ops II is due out worldwide November 13 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A Wii U version will launch day-and-date with the system on November 18 in North America. For more on Black Ops II, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
People can hate all they want. Yes, it's too casual friendly. No, it doesn't require tons of skill. Yes, they've used the same graphics engine and basic gameplay mechanics for too long. That hasn't stopped me from playing each of the last few releases for several days each. It's fun.. That's all that matters. It's just ironic that Battlefield fanboys do the majority of the complaining when BF is almost as mainstream as this is. It's like a Kanye West fan hating Eminem because he's too mainstream.
I honestly thought the game was out already..
It really shows how much of CoD there is out there, when throughout the entire year you can say that the CoD game is out already and you wouldn't be that wrong...
Another COD story, another round of comments saying "Look at me, I'm so awesome because I hate Call of Duty and I'm taking time out of my day to let you know how much I think it sucks!"
I don't play with Barbie dolls but that doesn't mean I'm going to take time out of my day to go to the Mattel forums (if they have any) and post how much I think Barbie sucks.....
ugh i mean yay another CoD whew! seroiusly though i really wish they would go to semi-annually for cod sequels i mean i get all twitchy after 3 months and by 6 months i'm str8 up having heroine like symptoms needing another CoD release. If i every become a multi billionaire, which is very very likely, i'm going to buy EA and Activision and fire every developer, burn every line of source code for CoD and lock anybody that even uses the leters CoD in a word in a dungeon.
Can't wait for this game!

Who cares!! COD is so overrated just like Halo. After MW3 I vowed to never buy anougher COD unless they totally reinvent the Franchise. Total overhaul of graphics, story and MP and proper balance of weapons. Activision has used the same graphics engine since COD 4. From there recent interview they don't care.
The zombie coop could be fun again... Personally, I've become less and less interested in competitive multiplayer over the years. The competitiveness and ranking systems make the games more about achieving goals than they are about having fun with your friends. Back in the COD2 days, if you had a bad round, you almost never got trash talked by your teammates. Now, if you do well, you're labelled as a fat, nerdy hacker, and if you do poorly, you're a disgrace to your team and shouldn't even be playing the game. In short, everyone is taking gaming WAY too seriously these days.
@tushwacker I don't even think there was any sort of leaderboard or anything for CoD2. It was honestly the most fun I'd had with CoD online. CoD4 would be the last I had fun with. I also like CoD3 because it's the only CoD to have vehicles in it! It also had much larger, well thought out maps.
@DarkSaber2k Someone need's to let Ubisoft know that pirating on platforms other than PC is possible.
@DarkSaber2k Scumbag 360 gamers: pirate a game blame on PC.
Scumbag 360 gamers: hate PC but torrent 360 games using PC.
Scumbag Microsoft: counts torrented 360 games, counts them as PC piracy.
@jhonMalcovich Yes yes we bear the brunt of the attacks from game publishers and we are labeled as pirates, hence we get cheap quality ported titles. But fear not my fellow pc junkies retribution is coming and its coming straight outta space in the form of Chris Roberts.....no more saggy old outdated graphics ...we will regain our place...... Hallelujah!!!!P.S: I overdid it didnt I?
Way too much marketing hype built up around this game, lately. I'll just wait for the reviews, thank you.
