I hated the fact that they had the art book for online orders online. That got me heated. They (Gamestop.com) didn't make it an online only special when they released Valkyria Chronicles for PS3. Then again... not many people anticipated that V.C. would be a delightful success for the PS3 that it has... It such a typical sales marketing propaganda..
Customers who commit before June 30 launch of high-def 360 and PS3 fighter from Guilty Gear makers will get two-disc soundtrack, video tutorials.
Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works has made a reputation for itself by continuing to craft painstakingly animated 2D fighting games for a genre in which even the granddaddy of them all--Street Fighter--has embraced the third dimension. Fighting fans will get to see how the studio's 2D aesthetic makes the leap into high definition when publisher Aksys Games releases Arc System Works' BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 30.
Aksys has also unveiled a new promotion plan for the game, promising to upgrade any preorders to a limited-edition package. Beyond "collectible packaging," the limited edition of BlazBlue will include a two-disc soundtrack with 48 songs from Guilty Gear composer Daisuke Ishiwatari. Aksys points out that's 19 more tracks than were included in the Japanese release of the soundtrack.
BlazBlue preorderers will also receive a disc full of video tutorials and strategies for the game's roster of characters. The strategy sections of the video disc were created with the assistance of tournament-level players from fighting-fanatic communities such as Dustloop.com and Shoryuken.com.
According to the publisher, the preorder bonus is available through GameStop, Game Crazy, and Amazon.
HEY! Nobody listen to mycacha. You know how awesome Blazblue is? SO awesome! This is the best 2D fighter I've played in such a long time. How good it is will be something I see over time, but it is just so damn good. Don't have any doubt, buy Blazblue immediately and try to snag that limited edition deal going on if you still can, if not, the game alone is easily the $60. KoF12 had better be amazing because BlazBlue is just RIDICULOUS!
I just bought this game.. and i feel like I've cheated from you guy here.. this game sux, the character move is so bulky and the background too complicated until you can not simply notice the character.. Compare to SF4, this game is such a fool.. even the story mode background image is stick in same page... negative score i will put
yeah i just pre odered i dont normally but i love fighting games and this a really good deal paying the normal 60 for the lE edition makes it hard to resist its been awhile since i played a good 2d fighter. The video disc seems like it will be really helpful in helping you develop strategies. and they said the fighting genre was dying but 09 happens to be one of the best years for fighting ever with sf4 blazblue Kof Mvc2 and tekken 6. I think im gonna explode my fingers this year.
YES! Finally! Ever Since I Got That Bad Taste In My Mouth From GG:Overture Being Like Dynasty Warriors Ive Been Itching to Play BB =].
I hope this will be one of the best fighting games for the PS3. If anyone questions how good the soundtrack will be, I've heard most of the songs. And believe when I say that it is completely worth the preorder.
must get this gamee gamestop, game crazy, or amazon... what to choose.. im a bit of a game crazy supporter(mvp card is handy) i run into better people there, compared to gamestop people
If anyone buys the BlazBlue special collection please show all on Youtube? "This is a Hard Drivin' Blockbuster game for the 2D fighting game fans around the world"!
BlazBlue was a new character in the latest GuiltyGear game (GuiltyGear AC Plus) Is this a new Guilty Gear or a spin off or is Aksys games completely dropping Guilty Gear and the original characters in favor of a new fighting game with a new set of new characters?
this is alittle late... found it on gamestop a couple of days ago and preordered it. i almost thought gamespot wasn't goin to give any coverage to this game...
@lenson This game is also coming out on the 360 too, so you might want to check this game out. Anyway I already preorder this game online for my PS3 so I'm all set:D
@Ruffin316 If I'm not mistaken if you order online through Gamestop (online only) you get an artbook.
The only other thing this needs is a collectible artbook of some kind and it would be nothing short of perfect.
Very cool to see a publisher tossing a bunch of free stuff for people who commit to buy it early. If only all other publishers were so generous!
I'll be putting my pre-order down for this HOT fighting game VERY soon! also, I'll take the soundtrack and tutorials;)
Playing Xbox One games on somebody else's console will also require a check-in every hour. Full Story
