I'm not usually into Arcade Racers for the PC. Mostly a Simcade/Simulation racer. But needed a break from DiRT-2 Some of us (about eight) at a Team Game website just picked up Split/Second cause it came out first at Gamestop and decided to give it a go for something new and some laughs. (Plus I got a die-cast car out of it lol) Our first time online together with it this weekend and it is a friggin Blast! Literally! Just to much fun! I might pick up BLUR in the near future but some were skepticle of it on our team and money was still an issue. These will hold us off till Test Drive Unlimited 2 arrives or DIRT-3. I only do PC racing type of games so I do Hope BLUR will stay in the top 10 at least.

i find these statistics to be accurate since if you look at the npd statistics and vgchartz, alan wake has sold nearly 300,000 copies since it's release, which should undoubtedly put it in the top 5, if not the top 3 best selling games of the month.

Just bought all of these games last week. Red Dead Redemption (Take 2) UFC 2010: Undisputed (THQ) 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa (EA) Split/Second: Velocity (Disney Interactive Studios) Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (Ubisoft) Lost Planet 2 (Capcom) Blur (Activision) Ihave to say that Blur is awesome. I think people underestimate it, I did as well. But I bought it just to try it out and it was a blast.

Good to see Split/Second doing so well. I really like Black Rock Studios.

Blur is selling slowly, but the people that have it are playing it up! Online play stats show its Number 3 behind Forza 3 and Trials HD. For comparison sake, S/S is not on the chart though S/S has been selling more.

@makchady - Where does it say Alpha protocol sold more than blur?

I'll buy lost planet 2...when it falls to $30 on Amazon, but I will probably pick up an extra copy for my brother who only plays the series because it's what I'm playing.

and Alpha Protocol, one of the worst games i've seen in a long time, actually sold better than Blur?!??!?!?! what is wrong with gamers these days?!

now that i look at the list again, the most devastating game MIA is Alan Wake, which certainly deserves more sales than virtually every game atop that list.

RDR deserves its spot. I was greatly disappointed with GTA4 when it came out and was hesitant to try RDR, but RDR is not only the best game out right now, but it's far and away the most fun, all around enjoyable and authentic experiences in a western-themed game I've ever had. Kudos to Rockstar, you won me back.

Its prolly not selling so well due to the 3 Racing games to hit the marker in recent weeks. Split/Second came out first and everyone bought that and must likely do not feel like they need another arcade racer.

I hope this doesn't give Blur a rep. Ive played about 5 hours of Blur so far, and I can confirm its a really good game. Obviously it aint no Dirt 2, buh its a really fun arcade racer thats not too serious . . .

From what I read, Split/Second shouldnt be up there... Blur deffinitely should be, though.

that's really a shame because blur is a fantastic game that any fan of games should play, especially if you ever enjoyed mariokart.

well rdr is the top one,i should get the game,but im saving my money for a psp and the new ace combat for the psp,and mw2 is still the top 10 since november,and blur is trailing it.well after those sucky game are released.then the realeases of great games.i think medal of honor will be the best selling game of the holiday season of 2010.well its gonna be a great christmas

red dead redemption deserves it's spot 100% .. has restored my faith in the game industry .. the multiplayer is built around the single player and not the other way around which is what we've had shoved down our throats for way to long .. wtg rockstar

I second all the comments about the timing of Split/Second and Blur. Both are great and in fact very different ( yes I have them both ) but other than dedicated race fans ( like me ) most people will choose one or the other so which arrived first?? Shame because Blur is great and IMO harder thus more replay value. And where did ModNation slip to??
