New patch for Need for Speed Carbon prevents crashes seen on Windows Vista; Lord of the Rings Online receives major content update.
Electronic Arts' Need for Speed Carbon has received a new update that fixes two Windows Vista-specific game crashes that occur during boot-up.
Meanwhile, Turbine's The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar has been patched up to Book 9: Shores of Evendim, which includes tons of new content. While a 608.9MB manual patch is available for European players on GameSpot, North American players must look to the in-game patching system for the new content.
Elsewhere on the file front, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars has received a new multiplayer/skirmish map, a Nanny Mania demo is available, and patches for Two Worlds, Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday - Armageddon, Wildlife Park 2, and Scratches: Director's Cut are also available, as is a new unofficial patch for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
