Dakar 2 ships
Acclaim ships its rally racer for the GameCube.
Acclaim has announced that Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally has shipped for the Nintendo GameCube. Modeled after the real-life 7,000-mile Paris-Dakar rally race, Dakar 2 lets players race a variety of cars, trucks, and motorcycles through various areas of France, Spain, and Morocco. Damage sustained to the vehicles is depicted visually and also affects the handling characteristics of the player's chosen vehicle. The game retails for $19.99 on the GameCube, and it will be released for the Xbox in June at a price of $29.99. For more information on Dakar 2, check out our previous coverage.
