Dishonored DLC out December 11

First expansion for Bethesda's action game Dunwall City Trials releasing December 11 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC for $5.

Dishonored's previously announced Dunwall City Trials expansion will launch December 11 for $5, publisher Bethesda confirmed today. The content will be available on that date worldwide on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

The 10 new challenge maps included with the Dunwall City Trials expansion will test players' combat, stealth, and mobility skills, Bethesda said. The content also includes new achievements and trophies to unlock, as well as an online leaderboard for players to track their progress against others.

The second and third expansions for Dishonored will launch in 2013 and will be story-focused. Bethesda said the second expansion will focus on Daud, the leader of a legion of supernatural assassins known as The Whalers. This content will arrive during spring 2013. No information is available regarding Dishonored's third expansion.

People, people, people .. It's 5 freaking bucks for a DLC.  Not a huge deal.  Buy it or don't.  At least they are not like Call of Duty - same game new year for $60, plus pay as an EXTRA $60 for all the DLC or pay us $15 per map pack.  Or Madden - $60 for roster update every year then "boosting" "card packs" etc. for additional money.

Also, I LOVE this game.

Bethesda, you are our savior in these dark times of DLCs.  $5 bucks I will gladly pay for such an amazing expansion to an already amazing game

I honestly didn't think much of this game, I followed the hype to be honest, the art and level design was amazing but I felt like the content in the game could have been better, more story related elements, more character interactions would have been great to be immersed deeper with the world.

Optional mission or quests to select (I don't mean side quests), mini-games etc instead of just going from A to B. there could have been more powers to choose from to, I enjoyed the game but it was just to simple and could have been more complex, just as a comparison example, Bioshock ticked all the boxes for me, this didn't.

GOTY on my list. Played it three time each with different approach. I just can't get enough of its story, original, compelling, and not without twists. Simply Brilliant, love this game!!

This game just came out last month... WAIT AND PUT THE CONTENT ON THE DISC BEFORE SELLING IT TO PEOPLE FOR $60 FFS! You guys really think they did not have this before they took your money?

@HonorOfGod QQ moar. Or get a job and buy DLC like a real fan. You obviously have no idea how the game industry works. You think they finished Dishonored a day before it released? It takes time to print, test, package, ship and stock the game. That's the time they use to work on DLC. Did I mention you have no idea how the industry works?

@Dareitus  @HonorOfGod Does the industry at least give you a reach around when you bend over for them? This game was no doubt incredible and possibly GOTY, but these trials should have been included in the full game. Compare this to a game like Arkham City and it falls extremely short on content. Also, you mean to tell me that to be real fans now we have to succumb to the game industries ridiculous business practices? gtfoh.

Great game, I'm hoping this DLC adds at least 5+ hours!

There is SO much DLC out lately! For better or worse, I suppose. Maybe I'm going to have to become one of those people who waits for GOTY versions so I don't have to buy all the DLC laden games out there... sigh.. (No offence meant to people who want this)

I wish I were as cool as those who play through on the hardest difficulty and kill no one, then come online to brag about it.   I had fun playing it the way I did.

anyone who played this game without being on the hardest difficulty doing a no kill and or no alert run really deprived themselves of a great game. nothing like stalking two guys talking until one turns away for a second, you jump out and choke and grab one guy and port away, just for the guy he was talking to to turn around and say "huh?" having no idea where his friend went :3

No way. It's my GOTY so far. Better than Halo 4 and CoD.

I wouldn't call it GOTY material quite yet, too many unanswered parts of the plot. The quality is there though, it's just missing the full story element.

toshineon

@cboye18 Have you played it? I don't think it boring at all, it's quite fun to be honest, a great break from all the military shooters that is coming out.

Because clearly any game that uses the most immersive view point in gaming (that being first person) is clearly a derivative corridor shooter clone. Not matter how interesting, unique, or feature-full it is. If it takes place in first person it's instantly uncreative.

$10 new challenge maps for $5, not a bad price compared to say, ACTIVISION or recently revealed Halo DLC.

Of course, this isn't MP, but still, MAPS. GODDAMN MAPS!

Sounds good, well if I could at least play the game. Mine crashes at the first scene where they kill the lady and kidnap the kid. It always plays good up to that part. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but no luck. I think I'm gonna have to revert back to the older catalyst drivers to see if that fixes it.

Personally, for me, most of the games that crash are actually the real deal. It wouldn't be the first time I pirate a game that I've actually already purchased because the purchased game doesn't work. Steam's been a nightmare for me in more than one purchase with their awfully slow support team getting back to me two weeks later. Counterstrike, Shogun 2, Left4Dead 2, etc...

It's not that it's "completely unplayable," so much as Steam's customer support gets back to you 2 weeks later, or the game is extremely buggy. Seriously though, pirated versions are oftentimes more stable especially when the authentic versions require some kind of online connection at all times. Hell, Fifa 13 was basically completely broken through half of its cycle. Google "Fifa 13 crash to desktop," and you'll see a ton right there.

@PetJel  @dudnaito  @Whole-Lotta  @godzillavskong It most certainly happens. My last problem was with Battle Field 3 where the game would not open after installation. And after countless hours of customer support and searching through forums, the only fix left was to completely format my computer, which luckily made the game run.

@dudnaito  @Whole-Lotta  @godzillavskong I don't think I've ever had a completely unplayable game in over 15 years of pc gaming. If you are having problems with that many games I suspect it's something on your end.
