Downloadable Final Fantasy VII PC announced
New version of the Square Enix role-playing game to feature achievements, cloud saves, and a cheat option to boost character stats.
A brand-new PC version of the role-playing game Final Fantasy VII will be up for download in the near future, Square Enix has announced. The game was originally released for Windows PCs back in 1998, but suffered from several bugs and glitches.
The new version of the game not only promises to fix those bugs and run on modern systems, but will include up to 36 achievements for players to unlock and cloud saving. Players can also use an optional "character booster," which lets them boost every party member's HP, MP, and Gil to its maximum.
A release date and price for the new version have yet to be announced. Recently, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada said that the company will develop a Final Fantasy VII remake only if the next numbered installment can top the original Final Fantasy VII in terms of quality and sales.
