Capcom's action game moved to May 22 in NA, May 25 in Europe; copies include code to download RE6 demo on XBL July 3 and PSN beginning September 4.
Capcom is taking longer than expected to define Dragon's Dogma. The publisher today announced that the action game has been bumped to May 22 in North America, with a European release to follow on May 25.
Previously, Dragon's Dogma was slated to arrive in early 2012. On top of announcing the game's new release date, the Osaka-based publisher noted that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 copies of the game will include a onetime-use code to download a demo for the just-announced Resident Evil 6.
Xbox Live users will have a 60-day head start on their PSN counterparts for access to the trial. The Resident Evil 6 demo lands on Xbox Live globally on July 3, with a PSN version following on September 4 in North America, and September 5 in Europe. Resident Evil 6 is due in full on November 20.
When the game does ship, players can expect postlaunch support from Capcom. The publisher said it plans to support the title with a "comprehensive suite" of downloadable content in the form of additional quests, as well as weapon and armor upgrades.
Capcom also revealed today that Japanese rock band B'z will write and record an original tune for use in Dragon's Dogma.
Dragon's Dogma is an all-new franchise from Capcom. An open-world action combat game, the title has players fighting a whole assortment of mythological creatures, including goblins, griffins, and hydras. Players will lead a party of three fighters and will control their primary character while their companions engage in independent action.

more proof it's yet another XBROKE dvd level game of only 8GB, not a Blu-ray level 25GB game. Just like RE5...
the resident evil 6 demo for ps3 users is locked till september. Screwed over yet again by a company giving exclusivity to microsoft for the first few months :(
good game, but I dont like the use of pawns in this, they get in your way while fighting, and can get confusing, not everyone likes multiplayer.
@depman1972 Ya but at least they are a bit useful by giving you good hints how to take down bosses. If you have pawns from other players that have previously fought a monster, they will tell you how to beat it (if your console is connected to the internet that is).
@WeskerTeam how is this anything like tomb raider..?
Wow Dragon Age II looks awesome....wait? They already made it? But this is what it SHOULD'VE looked like? It was a complete failure?! Well god damn!
@Albenuova Deleted that message to show my support...although to be honest I was a little angry when I wrote that because I'm sick of long talks on comment sections... Know what I mean... So sorry again...
@Albenuova OOOO ok...sorry then... I apologize for criticizing you... Anyway I support your comment although not completely... The one thing I don't like about HALO is that Microsoft starts to milk it and I do not want to see it fail because I respect what Bungie built in a decade of hard work...
@Darnasian Sorry, I actually didnt mean to direct that message @ you. So yes! I am a noob who forgot to change the name. I was trying to make was to point out the flaws that WeskerTeam comment had. I dont give really dont give a damn which game or system is better. But I was just too tempted to make a comment.
@WeskerTeam Nice I like them too... Anything else? BTW try to compare Gears with Uncharted 2 not 3... 2 was the best ;) Although that's just my opinion ;)
@Darnasian I just calls 'em as I sees 'em. Which didn't sit well with your fanboyism. S'okay. I get it.
@WeskerTeam "Genius" I don't care... And this is just your opinion I don't give a sh*t about... And yet again another idiot comes to this page to talk about exclusives...when obviously this is about 2 multi platform games... Dude gtfo of here if you don't want to talk about those 2 games... BTW I'm a fan of both ms & sony...so keep it low...
@Darnasian Your rant made you the fanboy. I have a PS3. Gears still rapes all PS3 exclusives with the exception of MGS4. Don't like my opinion? Tough.
@WeskerTeam @Darnasian r u kidding? gears has got to be one of the cheesiest heavy handed games released, seriously what's up with the huge necks and macho beefhead attitudes? is that cool or something? you've got to be pretty shallow to appreciate such a silly excuse for game/art. jeez, do u really buy into that uninspired excuse of a story? maybe if you're 12 years old...
@daub11 you know this game been in the making way before anyone knew of Skyrim? I believe it was back in 2005 or 2006 when the first trailer was released. Also this doesn't look anything like Skyrim, it looks more like Lord of the Rings.
@shadow655 lol, I was wondering why I didn't remember saying that, then I looked a little closer to your name. O well, It's something I would say anyway :)

This game has some of the best looking weapons ive ever seen especially the swords. The combat looks really interesting, at first i was a little judgemental but now that i know more it seems very interesting and i am highly anticipating this game.
I remember Halo 3 demo was included in a copy of Crackdown, a game most people thought would suck. So everyone bought Crackdown just for the Halo 3 demo and actually got a good game with the demo. Everyone found out Crackdown was a great game. So the Dragons Dogma guys are smart to include the demo of ResEvl 6, because people who wouldn't have gotten the game will do so just to get the ResEvl 6 demo. As far as the Microsoft exclusivity goes, the demo was probably going to be released in September regardless on both platforms. The demo may be finished already and Microsoft threw them a few bucks to get it early, which is smart on their part. Most people will get ResEvl 6 anyway, but those who were going to buy Dragons Dogma, and own both consoles, will buy it on the 360 instead because they'll get the demo. Including a demo of this caliber makes the decision for you.
@Vodoo very true, in fact i've been considering picking up a 360 for some games that i cant or wont be able to get for ps3 (halo 4, some xbla stuff). i think i might get a 360 and a copy of dragons dogma just to play the demo sooner instead of pickin it up for my ps3
@GamerLegend10, True I wouldn't expect Capcom to turn down the money MS did give, however a little foresight and thinking about future consequences wouldn't have killed them either. If their goal is to convince as many gamers to pick up this game (new UP) the last thing I would think a publisher should do is pull timed exclusive bs, especially when you need all the sales you can get to turn a profit (and to cover this title's astronomical development costs). And using RE6 demo, as the bait definitely wasn't the game they should of done that with. Is that little bit of money MS threw their way going to make such a gamble like this payoff in the end? I guess only time will tell....
This games probably being delayed due to trying to get the over priced internet ready blu ray version's fidelity up to the levels effortlessly pumped out by the SUPERIOR Xbox 360. I mean the same thing happened with Grand Theft Auto IV. Probably trying to get a simultaneous release and, as usual, the overpriced internet ready blu ray player is holding up progress. "Xbox 360 is the BEST console EVER made." --John Carmack
aren't they basicly basing this off of skyrim cause thats what it looks like, and also you can do the same thing even kill dragons.so they are basing this off of skyrim.
@tahashaikh15 So you dont know much about the game, yet you claim that it is an exact copy of Skyrim  wow thats idiotic BS. "exact copy of it (almost)" that doesn't even make sense. And actually it is very different to Skyrim, the only similarity worth noting is that it also has dragons, but that in no way makes it a copy unless you believe that dragons are an idea originally thought up by Bethesda (honestly i wouldn't be surprised if you did believe that). Your comment is so ridiculous.
hmm..Why does this remind me of skyrim.Oh wait I know why! because it is a exact copy of it (almost).I am not a big fan of this game and dont know much but I am guessing this is a open world game.Message me If I am wrong
i like how this game is shaping up, combat looks amazing, and did i just see the character climbing up a monster's back? spell animation's better than i expected it to be. hoping that characer AI is smart enough to not drag you down. can't wait to see more gameplay videos :D
@ ToTs_00 I wasn't aware no, I don't play fighters though so it doesn't bother me lol. I just hate exclusive content/pre order bonuses regardless of system. I intellectually understand why it happens but still doesn't make me happy as a consumer, especially with the amount of money I have spent on Capcom games over the years....
@GunEye "If you tend to regard the majority of true gamers as guys that look to kill more, think less, and shove all women aside: Don't be surprised if you get no respect in return." If males did treat female gamers with respect then i dont think we would be having this discussion. Also you seem to be suggesting that females are asking to be insulted because of their views about male gamers which is completely unfair, people are constantly being targeted for abuse simply because of their gender or nationality, and sometimes for no reason at all...so to say that those who are abusive are only doing so because they are provoked is complete BS. Whenever females come online everything immediately changes as everyone joins in to start harassing them, i have seen this has happen many times...actually i think it has happened EVERY time a female starts playing (that i have witnessed)...rather than letting them just play and talking to them like humans, everyone just makes really sexist and offensive comments, either treating them like sex objects or claiming they must be weird and ugly if they like games (which makes no sense whatsoever). I do think there is a big problem which needs to be dealt with...though unfortunately it is not an easy one to solve, but as more and more females start gaming then hopefully things will evolve to a point where females gamers are accepted and not abused (though random insults to both male and female gamers will probably continue).
@GunEye I do not think that all male gamers are idiots, but i think that there are a significant amount of ignorant d***s within certain online gaming communities. I certainly dont want to generalize to all male gamers...but there is definitely far too much sexism, harassment and bullying which goes on, usually by teenage male gamers who are acting pathetic to make themselves look good in front of their friends (apparently being a d*** is cool now  )
