Draw Something game show coming to TV

CBS picks up pilot based on Zynga's downloadable game; will be produced by Ryan Seacrest and feature celebrities.
GameSpot parent company CBS was burned by the one-and-done sitcom $#*! My Dad Says, but the broadcaster is taking a chance on another digital adaptation. As reported by Variety, CBS has inked a deal to spin Zynga's newly acquired downloadable game Draw Something into a TV game show.
This show will be called Draw, and is to be produced by American Idol's Ryan Seacrest and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire executive producer Michael Davies. Sony Pictures Television and Embassy Row are also attached.
As for its content, the game show will feature teams of celebrities and everyday people who will "test their skills in front of a studio audience to earn money and big laughs." Viewers can "play along at home," able to also win prizes and compete with the celebrities. No celebrities were named for Draw, and Seacrest is not expected to host the show.

Got to Ryan Seacrest and gave up.
This has already been done on TV anyway, remember Win, Lose or Draw anyone? It predates this mess by about 22 years.
1 Like I would rather just see Draw Something added to pc so my drawings won't look quite as awful as they do with my thumbs.
Celebrities get to play against everyday people to win even more money and publicity then they already have? As viewers we also get to win cool prizes? wow better be a car and not something crappy like a cheap T-shirt. lame
Just proves they'll turn just about anything into a crappy reality show. For every good or decent TV show there are about 100 crappy ones.
Maybe I should start my own TV show. I can throw Pepsi cans at my angry neighbor for a half hour while a laugh track plays everytime I hit him. Wow I can get rich off this...
Isn't this "Win, Lose, or Draw", the TV show from the late 80's? I guess with a celebrity twist.

Only reason its here is becuase, like the article says, CBS is the parent company of GS.

5 Like And the funny thing is, they probably think they're being innovative. Doing a game show based on a game (Draw Something) based on another game (Pictionary, which has already been turned into a game show multiple times)...yeah, that will go over very well. These people must have never heard of Pictionary or Win, Lose or Draw, games that have been around longer than most of the people who play Draw Something.It's another uninspired, cheap way to make money off of something that isn't even that popular anymore. As a game show fan, it hurts me to say it...but I hope this one fails.
Ya too bad this game got boring after two months. Just goes to show that television execs have not sense of creativity anymore.
