E3 2010 sporting over 120 exhibitors
ESA releases preliminary roster for annual game-centric trade show; Koei, NCsoft, SouthPeak, Crave, High Voltage among noteworthy absences.
Last year, the Entertainment Software Association's list of preliminary exhibitors raised some eyebrows, as it saw a return to the fold for the previous year's prodigal publishers Activision and LucasArts. The ESA today released its preliminary list of more than 120 Electronic Entertainment Expo exhibitors, which offered few surprises.
Activision and LucasArts will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center to showcase their wares, as will industry stalwarts like Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and Electronic Arts. This year's show will also see some newcomers--the Gaikai and OnLive streaming game services are on the exhibitor roster--but the most noteworthy aspect of the attendee list is who isn't yet on it.
Although E3 is the ESA's premier event every year, six of the trade group's 26 member companies have apparently opted not to participate. Those ESA members currently absent from the attendee list include Koei (Dynasty Warriors), SouthPeak Interactive (Roogoo, TNA Impact), Xseed (Wild Arms 5, Half-Minute Hero), Playlogic (Obscure - The Aftermath), Crave (Williams Pinball Hall of Fame), and Her Interactive (Nancy Drew Adventure).
Two notable E3 exhibitors from previous years are also missing from the list. High Voltage Software had a substantial booth at last year's show to promote its Wii first-person shooter The Conduit, but it will apparently pursue a different approach for its upcoming title The Grinder. (High Voltage's other in-development game, Tournament of Legends, is set for release from Sega before E3.) Finally, NCsoft is apparently staying away from E3 once again. The Korean publisher of massively multiplayer online games and former ESA member has had a turbulent relationship with the show as far back as the 2005 incarnation of the trade show.
E3 is set to take place in Los Angeles June 15-17. The current list of confirmed exhibitors follows below. For more on the show, check out the official E3 Web site.

when do they put up the schedule for the live feeds? dont wanna miss out on that
will the full show be on gamespot
oh wow great line up this year! can hardly wait! starwars the old republic crysis 2 warhammer 40k mmog Natal + Ps3's lolipop half life ep. 3 new Zelda game gears of war 3 and im sure i forgot at least 1 game on my list. i was really hoping that some Mass Effect 3 would get shown but Bioware isn't on teh list yet... maybe it would be under EA...?
W00t!!! Crytek XD
I'm excited, fingers crossed on some Epic titles! Just saw Box art for Half Life: Episode 3, fingers crossed on that as well.
Can't wait!
Wow! I can't say anything.
Huge list of titan companies and websites. It's gonna be more than big this year.
Ohh, Epic games, the final chapter of Gears perhaps? and hope Ubi have info on the final chapter of AC or the next 'GR' or even BGaE2?
I among others thought last years E3 was exellent on the whole, i am therefore very exited to see what is 'pulled out of the hat' at the 2010 show. Judging from the already impressive lineup of dev's theres going to be lots of suprises. Cant Wait
Last year E3 was very good. Only saw the main ones and it was just awesome. Yes, I saw Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. All had their good stuff. / This year will be better because of intense competion from all companies.
oh and forgot a Resident Evil 2 remake (by not using the same engine as the new RE games cause it would ruin it) Hopefully Capcom will stick with the old RE tradition gameplay.
i want an announcement for these games - Timesplitters 4 Shemnue 3 Dungeon Keeper 3 (if EA or Lionhead continues the franchise) Theme Hospital Remake (like DK3, still possible though) Condemned 3 Half Life 3 (come on! this needs to be announced as it takes so many years to make).. and more
I wonder if they're gonna invite the tens of thousands of game programmers that have been laid off???
@tony382 Yea me to. And a new sandbox title would be nice.
@tony382 Thats exactly what I am wanting too. Elder scrolls V to be announced: preferably single player only
[This message was deleted at the request of a moderator or administrator]
I'm just hoping Bethesda announces TES: V. That's all I want.
I want to see which new games will be announced in next E3.
@blackfray why would that effect there fans. E3 is not open to the public like blizzcon is
@Blackfray Blizzard doesnt need E3 since...i dont know....since the 1st Blizzcon...Why would they waste time and (maybe) money to go to E3, since they have their own Convention LATER this year, when they will announce some new sh*t around WoW, D3, SC2 and the rumored new GAME they are doing. Why have 2 maximum hours of show time at E3, when they can have all 2-3 days showing off EVERYTHING that is Blizzard :D
AMD, Intel??
Blizzard not again?!... well looks like they rely too much on their Blizzcon ; i hope not too much that it effects their fans!
More to come! Stay tuned!
No Level 5? sad
Once again, I sure wish they would extend the trade show to the public for two days (like June 18-19) and charge a premium to enter. Could even run some crazy contests for tickets. They would make money, and the hype would sell them out. I would pay top dollar to go.
Star Wars Battlefront 3, Gears of War 3, maybe some other Microsoft surprises? That's what I'm hoping for....Looks like a good lineup though.
omg this a great line up for E3 cool beans lol. looking forward to it.
As long as everyone there ups the ante this year from last year, we all should be in great shape for this years E3! Just hopin' Ninty doesn't ruin it by not showing a playable version of Zelda for Wii! They already shot themselves in the foot with Wii Music...hope they don't do it again!
bummer insomniac isnt there :(
ummm.. Good eye, where is valve I wonder... Skipping E3 to polish HL2: Ep3 perhaps :D
Looking forward to this years E3
Impressive list of devs, good to see E3 regaining its reputation, but oh, whats this? NO VALVE!!!
Blizzcon has been produced at a loss for a bit now, but they justify it as worth it for the hype and publicity it generates, not to mention it's good fan service. Koei was the only one of the no-showsI even vaguely cared about, but as mentioned earlier they are actually attending as Tecmo Koei. I'm hoping for a few things, hopefully some decent games from Square Enix and Capcom especially (I'll be peeved if there are any console exclusives from these guys though). GTA5 Vice City maybe? Well, one can hope.
Please Gears of War 3! but i rlly hope that they fix the matchmaking system this time. It took 15 minutes just to get into a match that ended in 10 minutes -.- lets wait and see :)
i'm excited to see what square and atlus have to show hopefully FFVSXIII,KHIII and P5
Maybe FFVersus,or KH3!!!
more than 120 more than 150 games this alot of games wow i cant wait hear about dead island i want zombie games so badly kingdom heart 3 .HL 2 ep 3 halo reach gameplay and more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
@JDWolfie You're on a gaming website. If you don't know what games NCsoft make, all you have to do is type their name into the search bar at the top of the page, and you'll get a full list of games they've developed and published. :P And no, they aren't responsible for Tony Hawk anything.
I hope Xseed jumps on the bandwagon. Always looking forward to what they'll be bringing us next.
This year's E3 is gonna be even more epic than last year's! :D
omg E3 talk already!! idk if this is awesome or just rushed idk but I hope E3 is going to be great
I have a feeling this year is gonna be over-loaded with games. It's gonna be insane!
final fantasy verses i hope.
cant wait DMC 5 hopefully and other cool stuff
I hope SE announced a new Kingdom Hearts console game this year.
This is great, can't wait for this years E3, (fingers crossed) Devil May Cry 5 and Crysis 2
Is this gonna be televised on G4tv again or has it moved to another station?
sounds like the missing publishers arent too important. all the big names are accounted for, sounds like a good time.
NCsoft? Don't they make those now horrible Tony Hawk games? Not much of a big loss. And Southpeak Interactive? Only missing out on Two Worlds 2? @Windblade91: Blizzard actually lost money at last year's Blizzcon believe it or not. I'm not sure if there is really going to be any more at the rate they're going.
