EA looking at more DLC subscription deals

I see more and more gamers screaming "boycot EA!" Im happy to see this, but people have to remember, EA isnt the first company to be boycotted. If a boycot is successful, there are strategies to fight off such a protest. EA will most likely go dark for a year then change their name. Also, if they are as big as alot of people say they are, EA will pay to hide their image. Dont be surprise if one day articles like these are hard to find. Just be aware, if you want to boycot a company, make sure thoroughly do your research. You might be surprise as how many products EA has influence on. They might be listed as "third-party investors or beneficiary."  

They fix the server and several android games on Google Play, so "great" now, still EA is SHIT XD

I miss those days when devs made games cause they loved (microprose) them and wanted to give people the best experience possible. I am all for them paying the bills and even making sweet cash but DLC is getting more and more ridiculous each year. And EA knows how to milk it man. Sims 3 has what 30,000 "expansions"? and they just keep releasing more lame games and killing more classic franchises. Most of their games are extremly shallow and you can tell that if they gave their devs the time to actually make games better they could be so much more.

I can see it already with the game FIFA... buy the game for £60, each team cost £1 and each player cost 50p.... that is the future of that game

EA may have gone greedy but i is still one of my favorite gaming company, they can come with as many DLC subscription as they want, but that doesnt mean that we always have to get it, beside Battlefield 3 is EA most popular game right now and i dont think that any other game's DLC subscription can top Battlefield 3 Premium

Subscription Deals only work if you are offering MORE.

I.E All the new map packs for less when added up.

I judge it by the content/value,if they don't come up to scratch,NO SALE.

Um.... wow. EA is openly greedy for the customers money now. Well, I'll tell you one thing; after that debacle called "Mass Effect 3" neither EA nor BioWare will ever get their grubby hands into my purse again.

They are basically saying if you pay double what the game is worth, you can download all their patches free.

Why not give us free game content? Like Valve, who just updated their almost 5 year old game (TF2) with a 3GB patch last month.

In a related note, I received an email from Origin on my birthday congratulating me and giving me a 25% off coupon for some content on the store. So, me strongly considering taking the bait, I roam the Origin store to see what I could use it on and noticed SimCity (I like that stuff). However, this is EA so I had to read the terms of service at the bottom of the email for the lulz. And boy, did I lol.

The following provision had me going:

"...Excludes Star Wars® the Old Republic?, pre-orders, games released within 30 days of your purchase, Valve games, partner titles distributed by Origin, virtual currency and game time codes."

In other words, EA:  "Don't buy anything from other makers and give us all your money, we don't feel like sharing profits."

And they sell Valve games. That's Gabe Newell not so subtly telling EA that he's blowing them up.

Gotta love EA. Atleast they have the nutts to outright tell the customer that they'll gouge their wallets every chance they possible can. Don't like their philosophy? Don't buy the games they publish. Anything else falls means zip to them. They know they can't salvage their reputation, all they have left is making as much money as legally possible.

"You already bought the game; now buy it again for the rest of the content"... reason i sold my shit. fuck it.

Well, EA was awarded with the "worst company of the year" award not because of what they did (some banks did a lot worse), but because of their obvious philosophy towards the customers, which is basically looking from the top and patting them on the heads saying "there, there, give us your money and shut up".

I hate EAs cash shop for B3 i mean unlock all the weapons for some real money..

I have not played the game since they did that..

Saying that their premium service thing is not a bad deal $50 or whatever and you get all the exp packs when they are released. They have said how many exp packs there will be so its just like pre-ordering them all... I think if they had just called it an exp pack pre-order then everyone would have been ok about it lol..

EA is trying really hard to keep the title as the worst company in America.

Sigh, fuck EA, fuck EA FUCK EA, now I don't think I will be buying any more Battlefield series. Since they only know how to fuck up the game, suck our money and don't even have the decency to fix the bloody game, its been 3months since my last game session and they still don't fucking fix the server, why we can't just be left alone with a clean game but added with additional bullshit content that occupy my pc hardrive space while doesn't do any good to me? Why the fuck they don't just made the content a separate thing and made it an optional downloadable content only if you buy it?!? I wanted for a phantom 3GB update only to realized the fucking game is not playable after patch!

i felt bad about buying bf3 the long ago EA is very good at fucking things up if the next battle field game will use origin and browser serch bull crap EA can burn in hell i will never ever buy a game on that piece of shit origin again leave alone this new crap they are pushing

ME3 was a good game and worth the buck in my opinion, whats not is the endless DLC's to multiplayer games while they don't host the servers. Screwing up balance between buyer and not-buyer. 

I don't mind more maps, where those with the DLC can play with fancy new weapons, but when they can then enter old maps with those weapons, and no official servers are stopping this. If everyone else have the DLC in a multiplayer game, you are peer pressured into buying it too, or so you think. If you keep dieing to pricks with weapons you haven't seen before, I recon, you are gonna look up how to get those cause they got to be more powerful than yours.

Another thing is us. We are the ones paying 2 bucks every other week for a new Hat to wear on TF2 or another Hero in LoL. Buying a game is not just buying a game anymore, after you buy it, its f2p wether you like it or not, they are going to ask you for more money, ofc they are. Why, cause 10% will get mad, 40% wont mind and 50% will buy that stupid Hat, Map, Weapon or anything else they can hang on the wall called "IPwnU".
