@ManB3arP1g The reason for this is because the GoW Collection wasn't released here in New Zealand (and I presume Australia too). All it has extra to the ultimate addition in NA is that it has the GoW Collection and 2 more bonus skins, that's all. Hope this helps.
God of War 3 cleared for release down under
Sony's Greek mythology-inspired sequel gets maximum MA 15+ rating in Australia; Ultimate Edition priced at A$248.00.
The God of War franchise has long been known for pushing the envelope when it comes to violence and nudity. Previous GoW games have had you stab a cyclops through the eyeball, gut a centaur, and even spend some special time with scantily dressed ladies.
The latest game in the series--God of War III--looks like it'll maintain the gore levels, which had some Aussie gamers worried the game wouldn't make it past Australia's strict classification censors. There's good news to report on that front, however, with the latest Classification Board rulings showing God Of War III has earned itself an MA15 + rating. The consumer advice on the packaging cites "Strong violence, sexual references and nudity" as the offending content.
GoW3 picks up where God of War II left off, with angry dude Kratos riding Gaia's back on a mission to destroy Olympus. While Sony has been quiet on the story, players can expect an epic battle between the Titan and the Gods to take place.
In other GoW3 news, EB Games Australia has priced the God of War 3: Ultimate Edition at a whooping A$248.00. The Ultimate Edition comes with the God of War Collection (which is the original PlayStation 2 games remastered in 1080p HD), exclusive PlayStation Network content, an art book, soundtrack, and postcards.
God of War 3 is currently slated for release in March, so stay tuned to GameSpot AU for more details. For more on Australia's classification regime, check out our R18+ FAQ.
