I got this bought for me for chrimbo and there was no voucher or anything inside it, it was bought from Amazon if that's the reason why? I did see it stated at Asda that it contains the demo :(
Single-player E3 2012 demo for Sony's new action game included with Colin Farrell action film's release on December 18.
A single-player demo for God of War: Ascension will be bundled with the director's cut Blu-ray version of Total Recall, as well as the film's Blu-ray/DVD combination pack, Sony announced today. The film is due at retailers on December 18.
The demo included in the bundle is the same single-player experience that Sony showed off four months ago during the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo. It is not clear if the demo will later be released publicly.
The blood-soaked affair (below) shows Kratos laying waste to a horde of enemies in a seaside location. It caps off with Kratos lobotomizing an elephant-like enemy before a gargantuan sea creature emerges from the water.
God of War: Ascension is a prequel to the original trilogy that will tell Kratos' origin story. It is due out March 12, 2013 exclusively for PlayStation 3, and includes a series-first multiplayer mode. For more on God of War: Ascension, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
Swing and a miss, Sony. As much as I'd like to play Ascension as soon as, I won't be paying for this snooze fest to do it.
I'm going to purchase GOW:A when it is released, why would I want to buy a movie to get a demo that has already been posted in length (if statement is correct) all over the net?
@drknessfeeds Because GoW is one of the greatest games ever made....I'm buying that shitty movie just to get a few minutes alone with Kratos
12A rating, no thank you, not worth the price of admission and definitely worth buying on DVD even with a bundled demo. Dumbing down movies to appeal to kids is a crappy trend that's getting increasingly popular and I don't like it
@auntbessie Its not a trend thats getting popular, its a business model thats been around for decades. The movie business hasn't gotten worse with age, it just seems like it because all we remember from the past is the gems. Anyhow, the movie looks stupid and the idea that a demo will make people buy it is ridiculous.
Id rather just download the game for free on PSN, saw this movie and its pretty crap. Although Kate Beckinsale is damn sexy
@MATERAZZI_23 You do realize that the demo most likely will not be contained on the actual blu-ray, but will most likely be a PSN voucher code stuck in the case.
This is sad. Ladies and gents. Please stand up for the troll anthem. TROLOLOLOLOLOLOL, LOLOLOLOL! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL LOLOLOOOOOL.
Another remake that should never have happened. I don't mind Colin Farrell but I felt depressed after seeing this. They took something beautiful and violent and entertaining, then made generic and lame. Even more depressing is some goofballs have cast Ryan Reynolds for a Highlander remake. FROTHING RAGE
If I spot this on sale I might pick it up for the demo. Its not like I don't own enough crap movies already.
No thanks. The only Total Recall Blu Ray I want is Total Recall Mind Bending Edition to replace my earlier, and grainy as hell original release Blu Ray.
Nope. Not going to bribe me into buying a terrible movie just to play a 5 minute demo. I mean, come on, the guilt from buying this movie would last longer than the demo.
I can guarantee you this demo will eventually be let loose unto PSN for free downloading, just give it time, this move here is just to aid this movie in selling more on Blu-ray! They did this same move with God of War 3 on either that movie District 9 or Battle Los Angeles, don't really remember but it was 1 of those and well eventually we all saw what happened with the demo a few months after!!
I don't want the movie or game.....
I prefer the original Total Recall and I'm not a fan of God Of War......
not trying to start a fight, just saying....
Even after this, some of you still believe Sony was really looking to the "future of gaming" with a PS3 that launched at $499/$599......
Not hating the player, hating the game.
I liked the original Total Recall better, so I won't be buying...but if a friend does, I'll check out that demo.
So many games, I don't usually have time for Demos anymore.
they knew it was a crap film and nothing like the original so the decided to bundle the God of War demo with it oh my god....
