Xbox 360 and PS3 remake dated; PS3-exclusive Double 'O' Edition bundled with Move and Sharp Shooter peripheral plus downloadable Moonraker villain.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception may be the biggest PlayStation 3 exclusive hitting stores on 11-1-11, but it's not the only one. Activision today announced a November 1 release date for the PS3-exclusive Double 'O' Edition of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, which will arrive at retailers the same day as the standard Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
The Double 'O' Edition of the game will come bundled with Sony's PS3 Move and Navigation controllers, a PlayStation Eye camera, and the Sharp Shooter peripheral shell. It will also have an exclusive downloadable character in Hugo Drax, the villain from the Bond film Moonraker. Drax will be playable in the game's multiplayer component, armed with his laser pistol from the film. Activision didn't announce a price for the bundle, but a similar offering for SOCOM 4 sold for $150 earlier this year.
Built on a new engine and overhauled from last year's Wii version, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will feature a single-player campaign that lets players employ gameplay modifiers (infinite ammo, Golden Gun mode), with additional MI6 Ops challenge levels and an expanded Time Trial mode. For multiplayer fans, the game will let up to 16 players compete online with new modes, maps, weapons, and characters from the Bond universe.

Face it, Daniel Craig is the new bond so it makes more sence to have his likeness featured in the bond games now, as for the game being released... it's got some heavy competition with Battlefield 3. I'm pretty sure it will be passed up for BF3. I might get Golden Eye around xmas time tbh.
Why all the Drax hate? Maybe I just like seeing semi-obscure actors like Michael Lonsdale and Charles Gray appearing in games.
*facepalm* Releasing on the same day as Uncharted 3 practically guarantees the online component of Goldeneye on that system will be a wasteland. Then again, releasing only a few days after Battlefield 3 doesn't bode well for the 360 version, either.
@steven141 they released it for the Wii for 2 reasons, 1. the original was on a Nintendo system and 2. the Wii DESPERATELY needed a GOOD FPS on it, and from what i have heard it is a pretty good fps on the Wii
@Dawg9000 no one drop kicking me....plus I'm sure if they had the legal rights to Pierce Brosnan's likeness and voice for this (which they didn't and still don't as far as i know) I'm sure he would be lead instead of Craig (my favorite Bond in my opinion...next Brosnan and Connery)..besides you don't really see Craig most of the time so what does it matter if you see him...... IT'S AN FPS!!!!!!!! (never played the wii one but I'm sure you hear him though). I for one plan on getting the 360 version, seeing that's the only current gen console i have for now
Even with all the nostalgic stuff they took out of the Wii version of Goldeneye, it pissed me off because it was missing one very important thing........ Pierce Brosnan. Whoever thought Daniel Craig deserved to be in the Goldeneye game should be dropkicked.
@GeigerdolylWodd yeah i know *sigh* thats why i said it in the first place......and i think it would be a neat update...too well anygame with online to be honest....that is why i like black ops offline with bots reminds me of the old days (11 or 4 years or so ago) when EVERY multiplayergame did it
I rented the Wii version...since I don`t own it I probably will pick it up at some point for 360...but not day one. Also...DO NOT buy this expecting it to be the N64 version...it`s totally different.
@ElFlechero It should the Wii version I think did 4 player splitscreen so I can't see them removing it from the PS3 and 360 versions. @steven141 This isn't the same game as it was on the N64, if you just want multiplayer then it may work for you but the gameplay is more Gears of War/Halo then classic Goldeneye.
Finally. No idea why they only released it for the wii before. I loved goldeneye on the N64.
wait, for multiplayer there's 16 player online, the most important question on that front is: is there 4 player split screen? If there's not, this isn't goldeneye, and there's no point to this remake. Seriously, goldeneye wasn't a famous game because of it's single player campaign, or online multiplayer.
Save your money, the Wii version was seriously disappointing, if you want a good FPS then you would probably be better off with Killzone or Resistance .
Well, I already bought this for Wii. Even though I loved the game I see no reason to re buy it. As long as the subsequent Wii Bond games are as fantastic as this game is, we'll be all good. One of the few GOOD decisions I've seen from Activision lately.
So this is a retail game now, guess I'll use my remaining PSN points for Street Fighter III and the upcoming Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection then.

I'd use the Move/Sharpshooter more if there was an OPTION TO CENTER THE CROSSHAIRS! can't say that loudly enough. there's an option in MAG to center the crosshairs, but only in ADS - so I KNOW it's possible!
@3v1LR0n1N Unfortunately RARE didn't make this one. But if they did they would most likely put bots in it. They did with Perfect Dark and the follow up Perfect Dark Zero. Remember the reason why Perfect Dark was made was because RARE lost the rights to James Bond and wanted to make another one.
I'll try and get this one some time after it come's out because I'm going to busy with RAGE on the 4th, Forza 4 and The Cursed Crusade on the 11th, Batman: Arkhum City 18th and Battlefield 3 on the 25th and I don't plan on get MW3 until a price drop I might be able to get this one in November or for Christmas.
I saw a Let's Play of the Wii Version and it's basically a more stealthy version of COD. Maybe it was the way the player was playing but the whole game just felt off, like it was water or something....always moving and never still, at least not enough time to think......
but having move suport.. it actually has more chance for me to play it than B3 or MW3 that don't have move suport.
a N64 game revamped for Wii... then a Wii game ported/revamped for PS3 and 360... how BAD will this look I wonder. XD

Bar the fact Activision are doing the usual thing and selling out, then realising the fact that this is being sold during the biggest games rush IN HISTORY, the game looks decent. I don't expect it to sell well, though.
This game is like complete fan service to fans of the Wii version. Definitely looking forward to it.
come on this game has to have bots, or i'm not buyin :P jk but it would be a nice touch to have offline/online multiplayer with bots... I still look forward to this game even though the wii one has been out for almost a year

Seriously? Of all the Bond villains to throw into that package, they pick Hugo Drax? One of the worst villains from one of the worst Bond films.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is mostly unchanged from last year's Wii version, but it's still a fast and exciting shooter that doesn't rely on ancient memories to be great.
