Action game for Sony's new portable due this summer digitally and at retail following initial launch in Japan earlier this month.
North American gamers will feel the Gravity Rush on June 12, Sony has confirmed.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed the game's summer due date. The company also announced that the title will be available at retail (via game card) and through the PlayStation Network on its launch date.
Gravity Rush was first announced as a "launch window" title for the PlayStation Vita, which shipped in North America on February 22. However, retail listings later suggested the game had been delayed.
Directed by Silent Hill and Siren developer Keiichiro Toyama, Gravity Rush is an action adventure game that follows Kat, a woman who can manipulate the gravity field around her. A gravity storm has beset her city, and she is tasked with saving its inhabitants using her special powers. The game itself showcases the Vita's control scheme, which includes touch-screen options and gyrometer manipulation.
Hey, that was Metal Gear Solid 4's release date :D....played the demo a couple times in electronic stores around Toyko, made me want to buy the vita, but it's just too expensive right now, I would be looking at over $500 for the vita, memory card and 1 game with the exchnge rates. Guess I'll just have to wait.
That's cool with me because I won't buy the Vita until May 20 [my B'Day] and I have been following the Gravity Rush from the start and I'm still waiting for Dragons Crown to get a release date.
i tried the Demo (Japan PSN store) and it was awesome i can't wait to buy it when it comes to the US :)
I so want to play this but Vita needs a better Library to pull me into their world.and a better battery life.
Nice, but coming a little close to the releases of both Resistance Burning Skies and Littlebigplanet Vita maybe? Glad to see a strong summer line up for the Vita in place at least.
I hope this is the last time they push it back, but more than that i just want them to get it right. I have high hopes for this game. However, my faith in developers is flimsy at best. Most of the time they get something majorly wrong or a lot slightly wrong. Hope, hope, hope, hope, CRUSH! .. then acceptance of an inferior product including lies you tell yourself to make it feel ok. As of late, rayman proves its possible not to screw something up.
