New novel Hitman: Damnation set between events of Hitman: Blood Money and upcoming entry, penned by noted James Bond writer.
Gamers keen on delving deeper into Hitman history will have that opportunity when a new prequel novel titled Hitman: Damnation hits shelves this summer.
Announced today by publisher Del Rey, Hitman: Damnation is set between the events of 2006's Hitman: Blood Money and the upcoming Agent 47 title Hitman: Absolution.
Hitman: Damnation is being penned by Raymond Benson, a well-versed spy writer, most famous for being the fourth official James Bond novelist.
Hitman: Damnation follows iconic assassin Agent 47 and his mission to take out American political figures. According to Del Rey's description of the novel, events quickly turn south, and Agent 47 is thrust into a "web of lies, deceit, and murder."
In addition to Hitman: Absolution and Hitman: Damnation, fans of the franchise will have a new Hitman feature film to watch in 2012, if a report from last May is any indication.
Hitman: Absolution is due out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in 2012. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
@Gelugon_baat why don't you go back to school and learn how to comprehend what you read? The Hollywood film from WAY BACK IN 2007 has NOTHING to do with the Novel.
Just keep some of the previous game elements. I don't want Hitman Absolution to be a very linear game.
But does that mean that the game wont come out till after the summer? I'll be getting the book. The Mass Effect and Deus Ex books worked and were a good read so I have good hopes for this one aswell with a good writer on board.
If there's big money involved, the end product is usually bad. And oh surprise, this is indeed looking bad. Sigh, I hope it's not.
a book would be a bed time tail ! NO action NO excitement NO blaring sound effects ! yup a book would be pure stealth !
A book? LOL. Kids don't read these days anymore. Should have made a short CGI film or a video comic.
I hope its a good book, but i do certainly hope that i don't have to read this book to get the full experience of Hitman: Absolution
