Illbleed Heads Stateside

Jaleco has confirmed that it will publish the North American version of Illbleed for the Sega Dreamcast. The game will be released here in February 2001. Illbleed is set in a massive horror theme park, and players must find their way through seven horror-filled worlds that were created by B-movie producer Michael Reynolds. Those that survive will earn a prize of one million virtual dollars.

"This game is not for the faint of heart," said Ken Gratz, a producer at Jaleco USA. "Illbleed is completely unique in its ability to make you laugh one minute while it scares the living daylights out of you the next. There are surprises at every turn."

According to Jaleco, any changes made for the US release of Illbleed should be purely cosmetic and will be a result of the game's localization - no major changes from the Japanese version are expected. Illbleed is being developed by Climax Graphics. The Japanese company also developed Blue Stinger for the Dreamcast.
