King of Fighters Neowave hitting PlayStation 2
Console version of arcade punchfest will be released on June 23 in Japan.
TOKYO--SNK Playmore has announced that it will release The King of Fighters Neowave on the PlayStation 2 in Japan. The game, currently in arcades, will hit retailers on June 23, which is the same date the company will also be releasing King of Fighters: Maximum Impact on the Xbox.
The King of Fighters Neowave was SNK Playmore's first game on the Atomiswave platform, which the company has adopted for all its future arcade offerings. SNK Playmore, up until last year, released its arcade games on the 13-year-old NeoGeo hardware, which was beginning to show its limitations.
