Lara Croft voice actress revealed
William & Kate, Californication actress Camilla Luddington lending her voice and performance skills to the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.
English actress Camilla Luddington will be lending her voice to Tomb Raider in the new game, due March 5, 2013. Publisher Square Enix said that her work would not be limited to voice acting, confirming she would be taking on motion-capture duties as a "performance actress" as well.
Luddington’s notable roles include Kate Middleton in the TV movie William & Kate and Lizzie in Showtime's TV series Californication. Luddington also has a role in the future episodes of the vampire drama True Blood.
Square Enix said it was the actress's "youthful tone" as well as "depth of emotion" that made her right for the role as the young Lara Croft. Tomb Raider is a reboot of the aging franchise, telling an origin story for the gun-toting archaeologist seen in earlier games.
Luddington will be attending Comic-Con 2012 and Nerd HQ alongside the development team to discuss Tomb Raider and her role.
