you see this is why Nintendo is failing too much focus on handheld game and why to much focus on baby games
Fourth game in the Mario & Luigi RPG series coming to 3DS this summer.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a new entry in the Mario & Luigi role-playing game series, has been announced by Nintendo.
The game will be released for the Nintendo 3DS this summer, but no specific dates were given.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the game as part of a Nintendo Direct broadcast dedicated to Luigi--dubbing 2013 the "Year of Luigi"--and showed the first in-game footage.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team takes place inside Luigi's dreams and will feature puzzles that have to be solved by interacting with a slumbering Luigi on the bottom screen of the 3DS.
Multiple Luigi's can also feature in the game at once, with one scene showing a flood of Luigis attacking a group of enemies and another showing Mario running around the map with dozens of his taller, more timid brother.
Iwata also said that Luigi might not be as traditionally cowardly when inside his dreams.
Other announcements during the Nintendo Direct presentation included a new Mario Golf for the 3DS, a new DLC campaign for New Super Mario Bros. U focusing squarely on Luigi called New Super Luigi U., the release date for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and the unveiling of Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3DS.
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will be the fourth game in the Mario & Luigi series, with the previous entries--Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, and Bowser's Inside Story--on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. Nintendo studio AlphaDream has handled development of all titles in the series so far.
I find it funny that people love to blast Nintendo for what they do seeing as they are only a gaming company. MS & Sony, especially MS only care about two things, money and cable services and yet people who supposedly call themselves gamers flock to MS and Sony because of what better visuals!? Bitchs please ... PC's outdo consoles. Deal with it.
It's short sighted fanboys like that, that are allowing companies to bleed us dry of day 1 DLC, online passes, etc instead of back in the old days where you paid for a game and had it all.
Even though I mainly play handheld now because PC is too expensive.
@sinn_exit Companies care about money its why they are still in business, Nintendo is no better then the others though Sony needs to stop making mistake or they are going out of the video game business.
@TacticaI Nah, unlike you I prefer a full game without day1 dlc and online passes. Each to there own as they say
@sinn_exit @TacticaI Lol don't pretend you know the first thing about what I like, you're the one spewing your console war nonsense for absolutely no reason. Nothing you spoke on was even brought up in the article. You're a complete and utter fanboy, the very kind you try to insult, and to make matters worse, you're blindly accusing me of being a fanboy as if that's supposed to distract me or anyone else from your own rabbid fanboyism. Pretty funny stuff.
I haven't heard any new game announcements for the wii U. You would think that if they launched a new system they would try and design a lot of great games for it to get people to buy it, but all they've done is launch a couple of so so games, a bunch of multi platforms, and a New, new Super Mario Bros game that could as well been launched on the original wii, or the 3DS. Seems like nintendo's only chance of success right now is the 3DS.
@zeusbark The Wii U's Nintendo Direct was like two weeks ago, and they announced like a dozen of games for release until the end of the year, what are you complaining about ._.
@zeusbark Nintendo is arrogant, they do things on their own schedule, and they know their fans will suck it up and deal with it :P

You know guys, instead of waiting for Mario and Luigi, why not feast our eyes on this?
There has been some decent news recently, but now I am definitely buying a 3DS.
This is doing it right Nintendo.
Makes me wish I had kept my 3DS :( I hope they don't play up the whole inside-of-Luigi thing. Not the best thing to center a game around (kept me from liking Bowser's Inside Story).
@DarthLod From a business standpoint, why would you give up on success?
@DarthLod you're crazy. This is great news. Go Play In Traffic
@DarthLod This is a pretty good game. The previous ones were some of my favorite DS games.
If they announced something not great I could understand this response.
Nah, to DarthLod, anything Nintendo does is pointless garbage, such a pathetic use of one's time.
You know it's REALLY not hard to ignore a company you don't like.
@DarthLod Why should they? This game will be awesome
COD on the other hand ....
This is an excellent series! Bowser's Inside Story was the shit. I was wondering literally just the other day when they'd do a fourth.
Wonder if they will encounter that place where the star is on SMRPG where mario reads it and it says "Wish I was a great plumber, like my brother mario"
@ztron370 Wait until E3. Star Fox is, at this point, the most likely to be Retro Studios' secret project.
Keep hitting those checkboxes Nintendo. Same IPs, same uses of those IPs, new generation. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat.
@BKO3000 i know right! now Sony, all those clasic ip's, Jak & Daxter, Sly Racoon, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, imagine if they made sequals to those clasic games, then they would be just as bad as Nintendo!
@BKO3000 I agree somewhat but I'm also very happy for the Donkey Kong announcement since it's a game of nostalgic value to me and I haven't played any of the games since the days of the N64.
DKCR looks like it was almost MEANT to be on thte 3DS. Hot damn. I'm in. Zero waggle for the roll here we come!
I had donkey kong for the wii for 40 minutes. Cannot wait for a waggle free experience. Why do developers think that they absolutely must use motion controls just because it exists.
3DS is really becoming a great system, and very quickly. It looks like it's going to match the quality of the DS library in a much shorter amount of time. Leaves me wondering what big games they'll announce in the later part of the 3DS's life.
Anyway, glad I have this system. It's well worth it.
@trugs26 I have been considering getting a 3DS for some time now, but there is only a couple games I want on it right now. What I would like to know is how do DS games look on the 3ds. I never bought a DS but there are many games I would like to play.
The 3DS blows up the resolution of DS games to fit the screen, making games look blurry. But you can hold start or select when you boot up the game to play at native resolution. The problem is that the game display is REALLY small.
The blown up version may be a little blurry, but it isn't too bad.
The 3DS XL however plays DS games very nicely. So if you intend to play DS games, definitely go for the XL.
