This would be an instant sale for me if they included Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter rather than the original MSH. MSHvSF, in my opinion was the best of the CPS2-based versus games. MvC just didn't feel as polished to me.

Downloadable combo pack of Marvel Super Heroes and original Marvel vs. Capcom arcade games set to make debut on PS3, Xbox 360.
Capcom is teaming up two of its superhero fighting games for one downloadable offering, as the publisher today announced Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will launch in September for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The compilation will include two of the publisher's arcade brawlers: Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.
Originally released in 1995, Marvel Super Heroes was loosely based on Marvel Comics' Infinity Gauntlet storyline. The one-on-one fighter incorporates the story's infinity gems into the game by letting players grab them mid-match to boost their characters' different abilities. Three years later, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes launched in the arcades as a follow-up to the tag-team fighting action of X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. The game had no gem system, but it did have an assist feature where a third character could be called in a limited number of times during each match to provide a helping hand.
The Marvel vs. Capcom Origins compilation will introduce online play to both games based on the GGPO networking technology used in the publisher's previous downloadable fighters. It will also have lobbies for up to eight players, a spectator mode, new in-game challenges, replay saving, and a variety of HD filter options. The game will be available to download for $15 (1,200 Microsoft points).

Loved MvsC back in the 1990s. The arcade of it was in the laundromat down the street from my apt building. It got alotta my quarters.
Had the Dreamcast version of Marvel vs Capcom 2 and played the Hell out of it back in 2000-2003.

Makes me wonder if Anita from Darkstalkers will be in Marvel super heroes like the Japanese version or will be the American version where it locks up if you try the code to select her.
Sounds good hopefully they will release a similar package for X-men and X-men Vs Street fighter.
Also letting me buy these on a disc would be awesome. But if it is Download only then I'll pass.
1 Like They should have included Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter instead of normal Marvel Super Heroes since if you ask me MSH vs. SF is by far the best Vs. game Capcom has ever made.

Where's X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter? Would had been nice to bundle all three of them along with MSH and MvC all for $15. That would be a real must have for me considering each game is worth $3 buck anyways especially for decade old arcade titles.

I wonder. when will we see the Street Fighter Alphas or at least Street Fighter Alpha 3!! you guys do know that. Capcom is trying to make up for DLC ( Disc Lock Content ) that been happening with all their games. right?! for me. they should stop that Disc Lock Content crap ASAP!!!!
When I first saw the headline, I thought this was another iteration of Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I already bought 3 and Ultimate 3, so I was ready to be livid!!

Yes! i loved the original Marvel v.s. Capcom game...i never played the arcade version i had the Playstion 1 game, but still i can't wait. not to mention online playability , count this as sold for me.
@RitsukoEX @AuronAXE It's not so much greed as DC didn't used to like seeing their character used in those types of games DCvsMK was a changing point but as was well complained about the fatalitys weren't great because of DC protecting thier characters But since DC has allowed a whole fighting game to be made its highly possible we could see a crossover in the future

I'd rather c a crossover game along the lines of a Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Just do the DC vs. Marvel storyline, add to it, & there u go. But I wouldnt mind a fighting game.
MAYBE COTA, Marvel Super Heroes & X-Men Vs. SF will be put out as another collection. I would pay all day for those 3. Heck, Maybe this will be the start of downloadable Capcom fighting game collections! Alpha anyone?
This is awesome news. As others have mention I'd certainly love to see the other Marvel games released as well plus the Capcom vs. SNK games.
So this and NiGHTS come out in the fall...... glad I picked up that 250GB HD a few years ago.
Sadly though, I'm going to have to decide if I really will buy this game. I still have my DC MvC and I'm always on the lookout for MSH on the Saturn, but the new versions will be better in just about every aspect. Then there's the Capcom factor...... Will they at least wait a year before they offer these two games as well as 4 others on disc for only $30? Yeah, the Capcom jokes should be getting old by now, but the problem is that they aren't jokes anymore.

I think the best was MVC2 but they already released that for the XBLA & PSN. So y not just make all of the games that came before MVC2 & made that game what it is, on 1 disc & call it a day??? I for 1 would buy that because i love those games. X-Men vs. Street Fighter got a lot of my quarters growing up.
1 Like I'm afraid that MVC 2 and 3 might make this package irrelevant, and I said ''irrelevant'', not ''obsolete'' or ''not fun to play'' before someone says something.
Hopefully, we'll some more collections like: Capcom Vs SNK Pro & Capocm Vs SNK 2: EO. Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems, though I would have bundled War of the Gems with Marvel Super Heroes and bundled X-Men Vs Street Fighter with Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter.
I hope to see X-Men: Childen of the Atom and X-Men Vs Street Fighter for download as well.
