Melbourne fighting tournament kicks off tomorrow
eSports fighting games tournament starts Saturday in Melbourne; GameSpot AU to stream the event live.
Some of Australia's best competitive fighting gamers are headed to Melbourne tomorrow for the first-ever Fighters Festival.
Hosted by Couch Warriors, Fighters Festival aims to celebrate all things fighting games. While the main focus of the event will be on the tournaments, people of all skill levels are welcome to turn up and watch the festivities. If you don't think you've got what it takes to enter the competition, pro players will also be hosting demonstration matches that will help rookies improve their game.
In total, seven games will be playable on the day, ranging from popular fighting games like Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, to smaller titles like BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend.
Fighters Festival kicks off from 12:30 p.m. tomorrow and is scheduled to go until 9 p.m. If you live in Melbourne and want to check it out in person, Fighters Festival is taking place at Solei Bar and Lounge, 694 Mt Alexander Rd, in Moonee Ponds. Alternatively, you can tune into GameSpot AU tomorrow from 12:30 p.m. to catch the live stream.
