Nearing Beta's End

Beta site? Wow, I'm preety far behind on this site. Is this the site that i have to use in the future for my gamespot account, and for regular gamespot thigns. Is it just an update on gamespot.com?

does anyone know how to fix xbox 360 when i put a game it says reading then it just swithes back to open tray like if tere was no disc please help!!!!!!!! someone

I sick of beta but I agree wit phoenyx9 we need a longer side bar to few tracked blogs!

Iam glad iam am SICK of beta its so hard to do things & i miss good ol' Gamespot. we'll have to see how the new GS is!

For the most part I like the beta and the wide format. However I miss seeing all my emblems and having to open a separate window to view them. I also would prefer having a longer side bar to view my tracked blogs instead of the feed.

Emblems look stupid now. I never end up clicking the link to see the emblems when checking blogs and stuff. It used to be cool to see tons of them on some profiles, also the pop-up is wider so it looks like people have fewer emblems. Only truely nice thing I can think of is that the page is wider now and doesn't look so thin on 1900x1200 resolution.

This is awesome. Anyone think there will be an emblem awarded to users who test the beta give feedback? It would seem logical to do. If the Scavenator beta deserves an emblem, this certainly does.

You know, I haven't liked the last couple of overhauls, but I like this. Love the wider content pane and the sleek way everything's organized.

It'll be a nice change for the site. It's good to see the site continue to evolve.

GameSpot Wide's public beta will be ending late next week and we'll be moving the new design over to the main www.gamespot.com site. There's a major batch of changes that will hit the beta site on Tuesday as a part of our regular beta release schedule (past release notes are here).

In addition to many small fixes, two of the significant updates will be:

- major tweaks to the profile index page layout based on user feedback

- addition of the new mini-feed panel into the user box in the top-right of every page. This expanding panel will showcase recent blog and tracked games updates and will also bring back the My Games jump-links pulldown.
