NHL 13 adds female playable athletes

Why, all the way into 2012, in the second decade of the third millenium, am I still hearing the retarded warblings of idiots like NooDLES-666?  Not only does he sound ignorant to women but also racist.  I used to date a Black woman in the Marine Corps., I wish he'd run into her sometime.  She was an excellent boxer.  I don't see why they haven't included women's hockey teams years ago, women's hockey has a growing cult of fans.  Women play a lot more like european players;  small, fast, vicious.  I think they've got plenty of game.  But, you can't tell some people that.  They're too focused on smearing feces on someone else like ... a monkey.

Why is this even a problem? If you don't want to use female players no one is pointing a gun to your head forcing you to use them. At least it's an option for those of us who want to use them. ;)

If you can be a female online, I can just see it now, all the xQCx DaNGL3Sn1P3z will be black girls with blond dreadlocks. 

They should just have the members of the IIHF Centennial All-Star Team as the "legends" and leave it at that...

It's a low-risk move for a franchise that sells solely to a hardcore hockey audience. I'd be surprised if it deters the faithful from the product. Glancing through the comments, no one's said anything about not buying the game over it.... because none of you were ever going to buy it anyway. ;-)

Sports games of this type are meant to be realistic so if this means woman playing alongside/vs men it makes no sense.

A deeper commitment to women's hockey?  This is one of the worst sales gimmicks aimed towards women I've seen in a long time.

If you want women to buy NHL 13, have all nude male teams!

Well, we know that NHL has female players, but will there be any female playing the NHL game? I mean serously, not like casual gaming?

I think every game should have the option of playing as a female character.  In Darksiders II, you should be able to play as Female Death (aka the Wife).  In God of War you should be able to play as Goddess of War (aka Mom).  In Madden 13, you should be able to play as Ms. Tom Brady (Gisele Budchen).  It would be a revolution in equal rights.

Hockey already has a female player-- Sidney Crosby.  She's the reason why your dad told you never to hit a girl; they break to easy. 

Next, made by  EA:  Fifa women 13, with Jiggling Breasts physics (and bikini's too), MADE FOR REAL WOMEN!

And a new version of Sims: Manly Sims, made for REAL MEN. Act like a bro, waste yourself in tons of irresponsable behaviours, beer, Rated PG sex and, in next Spring, the most awsome DLC EVARRR:  MANLY SIMS, SPRINGBREAK EDITION.

It will be hard to get into this since i dont know any female player by their name.

This only issue being is that women's hockey can't even touch men's hockey in terms of ability or physicality. They are two completely different sports. You can count the checks in a woman's game on one hand. Furthermore, why would you want them on your team when you have access to The Great One?

Considering the NHL is going to have a lock out, a womens only hockey game is probably more relevant in 2013

for someone to say that the womens's Canada/USA semi-final game was better than any hockey game over the past 5 years is crazy.  without question, each of the 2011 cup final games between Boston and Vancouver were classics.  the soccer match was sloppy, lazy and suspicious at best. 

Didn't even know women played hockey. Still waiting for 2K Sports to add WNBA as an add-on to their NBA 2K13 game after it's release. I'm not a big fan of WNBA, but I know several woman who enjoy it. I've been to maybe 2 WNBA games with friends and the ratio of women to men there was like 50:1. Lots of lesbians there in large groups. Hehehe!!. There is an all women's football league as well call "Lingerie Football League  [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lingerie_Football_League[/url].

I applaud the effort, but the models look like bad user-created players.

The best game to add women to would be their MMA stuff... UFC may wind up having women in the not too distant future.

I hope they do this to FIFA. Women's Soccer is amazing. Better than the Mens.
