Hopefully it's an RPG with a futuristic setting and is a third person shooter. Those games are usually balls to the wall, nonstop fun.
No zombies in Dead Rising dev's next game

Capcom Vancouver creating publisher's "next big game," which will not feature any undead.
The next game from Dead Rising 2 developer Capcom Vancouver will not feature zombies, the studio has announced on its website. The firm, formerly known as Blue Castle Games, is building Capcom's "next big game" and is actively recruiting staff.
According to the post, work on the untitled game is just beginning, and Capcom is only about halfway through staffing up for the project. The studio currently lists a range of career opportunities, including calls for various software engineers, a project manager, a senior game designer, and a design director.
An ideal candidate for the senior game designer position would have experience developing third-person AAA action games.
"We’re just getting started with the game so this is a great chance to really get your hands deep into the design. It’s your opportunity to put your stamp on a game early in the development process," reads a line from the statement. "PS…No zombies."
Capcom Vancouver was established in 2010 when Capcom purchased Blue Castle Games (The Bigs, Dead Rising 2) for an undisclosed sum as part of its global strategy of better targeting Western gamers.

2 Like I don't see where people got confused at. Read it two times, and I don't see any hints to a new Dead Rising. Especially the "PS...No zombies" part. And the title of the article says "No zombies in Dead Rising dev's next game" which means the developers of Dead Rising wont have zombies in the game they are currently developing. If anything, it hints that they are not even working on it yet, and want people to know there is no reason to get hyped up for it anytime soon.
Whatever works is fine with me, but I hope they released some new information on Dead Rising 3 either though it was not officially confirmed yet.
why not have zombies capcom?zombies are fun and capcom should make resident evil 7 then if they dont want to use zombies in dead rising :)

@The_Last_Paladi @Gelugon_baat The article title IS clear and precise, smart one. "No zombies in Dead Rising dev's next game." Try 'leveling up' your reading comprehension, because there is no way that headline could rightfully be interpreted as "No zombies in the next Dead Rising game."
@Gelugon_baat @The_Last_Paladi Really nothing high and mighty about expecting an article title to be clear and precise. Perhaps your standard is lower than mine? I don't have to be an" authority of writing skills" to know what bad writing is (I'm sure I mentioned something similar before with you).

i think a lot of the time people (me included) just read the headline, flip out, and then start posting before actually reading the article. and if that's the case (and it is), then the writer has just wasted a bunch of his talent, and time, writing something people won't even read.

1 Like @Colekern I have to admit when i first read the headline I read it as "No zombies in the next Dead Rising" But reading the first sentence of the 2nd paragraph quickly rectified that, and I went back a re-read what I thought I saw lol.
I guess noone read the actual article that would have fixed/cleared things up fast. But hey folks comment on here all the time after only reading the headline/

Ah well, knowing Capcom there will be launch-day DLC putting zombies back into the game. The info will already be on the disk, of course.
I never did buy the second game, and never finished the first, just idk was boring after a while, but to not have zombies in a title called deadrising...yeah cant possibly do all that well.
@davidsworld3 but...it isn't called Dead Rising they just the developers from Dead Rising their next game isn't titled yet.
Nice looking building. I hope they do something similar to DMC/Bayonetta. Even though they would need Mikami for something special...
2 Like The new enemies in the game will be a bunch of Middle-Easterns and the open-world gamplay will be dropped for a more linear progression, and the game will be renamed to "Call of Dead-Rising" - otherwise know as "COD."

Now there's an eye popper. A little too good an eye-popper. Could be a trick.
Note the title says "no undead", but the actual statement says "no zombies". No zombies can easily suggest there will still be some kind of zombie-like creature in the game, just not THOSE zombies whereas no undead would suggest absolutely no undead whatsoever thus rendering the title moot and stupid.
@TrueGB but it's not another Dead Rising they are talking about they're just saying they're the developers of Dead Rising and the next game they make will not be Dead Rising
I don't even really like Dead Rising. It feels too slow paced. I guess I just don't enjoy Capcom games. I can see why people like the series though, but a lack of a sprint button in a Zombie Apocalypse seems short-sided to me.
@OneSamTwoCups It doesn't need one, when you level up, your speed increases. Eventhough, it took nothing away from gameplay because it made you focus on TIME.
That's rather confusing when there was an article here the other day with someone's twitter account saying they was working on deadrising3

maybe Dead Rising 3 not developed by Blue Castle Studio, but by other studio that is hired by Capcom, I think Blue Castle clarify that they develop new IP (or other Capcom's IP)
