Ostrich Hammer dropping on Red Faction: Guerrilla...for real

I'll admit this is awesome. I love Violition, but THQ is ruining this game for us PC users. I'm so sad.

This is why I love Volition. You can tell they're more into fun than licenses. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.

My sides hurt from freaking laughing so damn hard. Those dudes need to make a series of videos...Hell, come up w/ some more easter egg weapons on MP and make some more videos about those. Kudos to them for keeping it fun while making a sick ass game. I was already gonna buy this game, but they just put the nail in the coffin. Nice job guys, can't wait to play your madness. Nice idea. I put "the fish hammer" (reference to Monty Pytons "fish slapping dance") on the "wish list" for our game project 2 month ago to have it as a easter egg/achivement and also post it as a fun April video -"Look Llaknel got a new weapon!" But the idea was voted down because it wasn't "funny" and wouldn't generate anything. Though everyone in the team loved "the ostrich video" when they saw it.

I knew they were going to keep it. After all they did create it in the video. They'll sell copies of that game because people want an ostrich as a weapon. I thought of ostri-sized before the guy in the video said it. LOL

I knew when I saw that video that they had put enough work into it to not just let it go lol. I just had a feeling that since they actually had the character model for it and with all the CRAZY stuff Voalition had done in SR2 that it wasn't probably just to good to be true. Anyways, that's awsome I can't wait to slap someone 50 Ft across the map with that thing. And I hope they know the Xbox Live airwaves will be filled with the "BirdF'ed" battlecry for probably years to come now..... :P

Thanks, Volition. I was totally buying this when it came out, but I preordered it just for the ostrich hammer. Now, I'm just waiting for the Emu Hammer in Saints Row 3. BIRDF***ED!

This was an instant "duh" for me. They'd actually modeled the "weapon" and it seemed to have already been implemented in the game. With all of the work put into it, it would be stupid NOT to put it in. It follows the same logic as last year's MGS4-Assassin's Creed cross.

never played these games but its looks amazing real time destruction in 1080p is gonna look so siiick. i like the mass effect shooting style as well.

When I saw the video, I thought it would be awesome if they really did put it in the game. It's great to see that they really ARE! I never even got around to trying the first two games. Both on PS2, right? Maybe I'll check out the series now... :)

Red Faction- OK game, I got it. Red Faction2- I did not like only rented and beat in 1 day. Red Faction3 - Getting it for the BIRD Kills!!!! :)

Bird Bucked

The QORE episode for this month on PS3 came with an early access demo. Game is great and I will be buying.
