PROTOTYPE was EPIC! and this trailer looks like P2 is gonna OWN the original!!! Btw I dont understand why soo many ppl complaining of bad graphics coz I know that thru my Xbox 360, thru my sony bravia with resolution set at 1366x768, the quality of the graphics are beautiful, colorful, vibrant etc. Obviously there's a LOT of gamers out there with cheap quality tv's!
Comic-Con 2011: [UPDATE] Activision announces new release window for Radical Entertainment's open-world action game; publisher showing the title at this week's geek gala in San Diego.
SAN DIEGO--During the 2010 Video Game Awards in December, Activision showed Prototype 2 for the very first time, attaching a wide open "2012" release window to it. However, now the publisher has narrowed the game's expected premiere date, saying it will arrive in April 2012.
[UPDATE] During an Activision preview event at Comic-Con 2011 tonight, the publisher pegged Prototype 2's release date to April 24. For more on Prototype 2, check out a live demo of the game from GameSpot's Tonight on the Spot.
In addition to announcing the new release window for Prototype 2--due out on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC--Activision noted that the game will be on display this week at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego. The publisher will be giving 15-minute presentations of Prototype 2 at Activision's booth throughout the show.
However, gamers who can't attend the show won't be left in the cold. Activision has retooled Prototype 2's official website, adding a new layout and the first part in a three-part CGI trailer series.
As for the game, Prototype 2 is the sequel to 2009's well-received open-world action adventure title from Radical Entertainment. It is set in the fictional world of New York Zero and casts players as Sgt. James Heller, an ex-soldier tasked with taking down the protagonist of the original game, Alex Mercer.

I just want it. This game thaught me that Open world game can have fun combat after all. Hell... it even opened the doors to Infamous :). I've completed both, but I'll just say that I easily played more hours of Prototype. Like Yatzhee Crosshaw said, I can't decide wich is better.
I can't wait Prototype was one of my favorite games from 2009( next to Batman Arkham Asylum) it's definitely the best super powered open world action game around I expect the 2nd be n less the AWESOME!!!!
The last guy is sick, he wants to stop playing and string people throughout the city... roflmao... Edit: I can't stop watching him saying it, I keep laughing every time he say it...
Thank god it's not the end of this year far to crowded already Prototype was a pretty fun game I loved the way you could just absorb people (especially the stealth kills) I'm looking forward to seeing what improvements they make
Awesome. I'm so happy this is coming out in April, I missed out on the last one because it came out at exactly the same time as Infamous. Thankfully this time round I'll be able to get both :) Looks good!
Looks like it has improved upon the first. I had a lot of fun with the first. Looking fordward to more on this game.
I look forwards to playing this game an platinum however i hope they have a better way of finding orbs, prototype 1 orbs was a pain in the ass.
@cjburnfist I've beaten Prototype three times, (Xbox 360) encountered no frame-rate issues, rather, I was impressed by how well it ran, combat can get a bit tedious at times, but there's so many different abilities and combo's too use, it's always evolving, and, even though IMO, Infamous is better, it's still a great game. If you only played the freakin' demo, don't think you know every single nook and cranny of the game -.-
I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one that was disappointed with the first one. I just finished it, and frankly, it was just flat-out bad.
I really hope this one lives up to the hype that I had built for the first. Classic case of great idea, terrible execution.
I don't know if I can get behind the sequel...I wasn't too crazy about the original, but I am curious...
Can't wait for this. I got my Infamous fix this year, shame I have to wait so long for Prototype, but hopefully the spacing will help people experience both awesome games rather than trying to shoehorn them into "us vs them".
As long as they use this time to create better graphics and less-repetitive missions, I am fine with this release date.
I wouldn't be surprised if Heller actually joined Mercer to destroy whoever is set on taking him down..
